Can someone explain to me please
why I can eat turkey and not chicken? I am out 2 1/2 years and everytime I eat chicken its a bad experience. I want to shove my hand down my throat and pull my stomach out. I mean its marinated and slow cooked and all of that. I went to a turkey contest at the feed store where I buy all my horse feed and they had a contest and served turkey drumsticks and turkey hot dogs and I was ok.
Could be the texture of the chicken vs turkey - I am very careful whenever I eat chicken, too - sometimes its okay, but if any food is going to get stuck its chicken. I think turkey tends to be more moist overall - and while I know light meat is better than dark I have to say that chicken thighs are something that I enjoy now - the meat is closer to white than dark, it stays moister, and the portions are smaller. When you bake or grill it it almost looks like breast meat. So if you haven't tried thighs give them a shot - they might go down better.
That's crazy you posted this. It appears I can eat chicken but not turkey. Tried turkey for the second time on Firday night. Just like the first time - not 10 bites in it got stuck and I was sick as could be until I was able to throw up an hour later. I don't get it, but I guess turkey is off my menu for awhile. or forever. Getting that sick definitely turns me off to trying again for awhile.
