Three years (and it'll take you that long to read, too)
Congratulations on your three years of journeydom and growth. Your post is so complete in thought, realization, knowledge... and accomplishment. I love it and I love you.
We will always be patients who have a predisposition to fat and addiction, among other things. We will always be working to find our way. Sometimes we will struggle with the physical process, sometimes with the addictive process, always with the mental process, because that is how we were made. As much as we are the same, we are different to a large extent as well, but we acquire so much from each other that help us everyday in different ways, similar ways, and large ways too. We will always be working.
Sometimes to lose.
Sometimes to gain.
Sometimes to maintain.
Sometimes to fight regain.
But work we must and work we will.
Till the end of the race.
I'll see you at the finish line, and I'll be smiling for you.
Love you Sadge Buddie,
Dennis
Oh my papa belk! Love you! From the minute I walked into Barix you were the warmth in the room, the open arms, the great advice, the amazing friendship.
And of course....one of the few that can bring tears to my eyes with a post and "simple" but oh so powerful words!
Thanks!

I am very proud of you and all of your accomplishments and I hope you are as well. Nobody expects perfection out of you - other than you!! And who among us is perfect?
Congratulations miss Pam - thank you so much for you unending support and wisdom.
Kathy
Awww thanks Kathy! Those words took a long time...that post was quite some time in the making lol But...I've attempted to be honest with myself and with the boards from day one. No use sugar coating it (or, uh, splenda coating it? ha ha)
Thanks!

Pam
So well said! Everything you wrote rings true for me and I'm sure for so many others. My wish for you on this special 3rd year celebration is that you continue to be just as you are now - a truly inspiring member of our community who is able to celebrate all the successes but who is also able to reflect on the not so good days and use them to learn and to teach others.
"INSPIRE": that is you.
Arlene
And those who have learned before me have passed it fwd, it's only fair that I can attempt to do the same. The journey is not all rainbow and glitter, but worth it all the same!!
Thanks Arlene - I soooo appreciate it!
