SUNNY SATURDAY ROLL CALL
My heartfelt condolences to you and your family. Your step-daughter was a beautiful woman and taken from your life much too soon. I think she would not want you sad but want you to remember all the good times you shared while she was with you. Take care of yourself my friend and may god give you the strength to deal with your painful loss.
Ida, I am sending out prayers and thoughts for you today, what a tragedy you endured losing your stepdaughter. . . hugs. . .
Well, I am about to get ready, taking a trip up north to visit with my cousin and go to my Great Aunt Mary's house where we will go through her things and she is giving me some of the stuff that are family heirlooms (memories). We are 11 months apart and she an only child, we grew up like siblings, down to and including her going home from school and sharing whatever mischief I got into (lol), oh the fights we had at times (lol) and so she wants to share things with me. Aunt Mary, well she is 95 and now in a home for people with severe dementia, she went to the gym 5x a week up until about 3 years ago, so she is healthy as a horse, but her mind, not so much and in the past year, she became very abusive and my cousin needed to do something for her well being. It is sad, my cousin went through so much to make this decision, but the place she is in, is like a country club and she is getting the care that she needs. . . I hope I die before I get to such a place. . .
Before I meet my cousin, I am meeting a good old friend for breakfast, someone I did a lot of camping and deadheading with when I lived in NYC, had a mad crush on him for a number of years, but he never liked me that way and our friendship has been ongoing and very good for over 20 years now.
Ok, I better get moving. . .
You all have a wonderful day, wishing peace and strength to those of you facing more serious challenges.
Hugs, Laureen.
My Mantra is that I do not determine my success by the number hanging in my closet, nor will I let the scale determine that success either. . . It is through trial and error I will continue to grow and succeed. . . Laureen

I think the day will look a little like this - dishes, breakfast, more dishes, bills, hoping to head to Jersey for a hangbag party and some good friends, home to get the boys and then OFF TO CITIZENS BANK PARK to see some Phillies action!!!!! Many thanks to my favorite nurse for thinking of me whe she found some EXTRA tickets! :) Look for me tonight - I will be the thin girl in the red Phillies shirt...think that will make me stand out?!?!
Have a GREAT Sunday all!
Ida, so sorry for the loss of a beautiful and way too young woman. Many thoughts and prayers coming to you today.
Today has me going to synagogue and then headed to NJ for a purse party.
This evening, we will be having dinner and hanging out with TANYA and her family!! I have spoken to her every day at least twice a day for the past 9 months and miss her terribly. It will be so amazing to see her and the kids!
That's it for me.. busy day with a lot of driving, but very well worth all of the quality friend time I will have today.
Ida - much love and comfort being sent your way on this tragic day.
Had a great time last night on a spooky tour of Fort Mifflin down by the airport - the tour was led by a maintenance man that we all quite honestly think was drunk! It was a fun time though..
Today I am busy busy busy - am at the car dealer now getting my car services, then to the mall to pick up a few things, then home to do some cooking, cleaning and halloween decorating. I am a total halloween freak - LOVE IT LOVE IT LOVE IT - I have almost as many halloween decorations and props as I do christmas decorations (sickness). hee hee - yes, I am a big kid as if that was a suprise to any of you...
Love to you all,
Maura
