Back-in-the-Saddle Thursday Work-out!
OK folks, I skipped yesterday due to not sleeping well at all Tuesday night, so since I finally fell into a good sleep in the early AM hours I decided to stay home and sleep in.
Got up this morning and did 30 minutes and 6.15 miles on the bike - lots of tension on the old pedals this morning - gave my thighs a good work-out and was pretty drenched by the time I was done - if only it would take care of the loose skin on my thighs...sigh...
anybody else up moving today?

Last night was the last conditioning night of Commit to be Fit... tonight will be the wrap-up night repeating the fitness tests and challenges from night 1 and comparing results.
Last night we did 22minutes on the treadmills, followed by 20 minutes on the bike, followed by 15 on the rowers... followed that by about 10 minutes of great stretching.

Plan on swimming some laps- yesterday I decided to try something new after the 5.5 miles on the bike. I found out I am to out of shape for the elliptical- only could do like 2 minutes on that- don't know how to work it but the tension seemed high--- then I did 5 minutes on the tread climber. Okay- I thought I would die..My body age must be like 90. Geez- I was really embarrassed. I see people on those things and they are just going to town. I actually was sweating- I never do that- yuck. I psweating the whole way home-steamed up my sunglasses-had to have the windows down when it was like 58 out. LOL- I know-sweating was probably a good sign but I really don't like to sweat at all (hence I'm fat and out of shape!).
The eliptical has always been hard for me, not matter what - I give major credit to those who say they can do an hour on those things (Norm, Shilpa) - I'd be lucky to get 2 minutes in on it right now! Maybe go to the treadmill after the bike - that might be a better transition to start, then move back to the eliptical from there. but hey, at least you're doing something! That's how I look at it - I know a lot of people out here can do so much more than I can, but at least I'm up and moving.
