WACKY WEDNESDAY ROLL CALL

Welcome to Wednesday Weightloss Warriors!!!

Yup, I'm in a wacky mood.. it's early and I'm working OT again.. guess that's better than being in a woe is me mood, right?!

Had a great workout in the gym last night! Felt so good to get back in there.  I feel like I've been away forever.

Today, I'm working til whenever.  After work, homework dance and dinner.  Tonight is back to school night so I will be going to get a glimpse at Siehara's day and meet her teachers.

First Strides is scheduled for tonight, but they sent an email that there was some flooding at the park and parking is going to be limited.  They said that we are all more than welcome to attend, but everyone will get credit for being there.  I was trying to figure out how I was going to do both, since they are both important.  Now, I don't have to worry.  That's also why I did the whole 5K last night on the treadmill.  I'll probably go out at lunch time and get some walk/jog time in, too.

Hope everyone has a wonderful day!

Everyone must be sleeping in again *JEALOUS!*. I am here at work. Amelia did better last night, only got up at 2:30 for her paci and 3:30 for a bottle. At lunch I think I am going to run to Target for the few things I need so I don't have to do it after work. I am pretty sure Amelia is teething so she is a bit crabby. I just want to go straight home after work and snuggle her. No plans tonight other then that and making dinner.

Well hello wacky woman.....Glad you are in a good mood!  Always good to start the day like that.  I am starting to LOVE Wednesday's.  It means Tuesday is over, Emily is not home - she sleeps at my step-dad's - so there is no lunch to make and I get a few extra minutes on the computer without anyone talking my ear off.....

The added bonus of today is that the kids have a half day - which of course means that I have meetings this afternoon....time to find myself in my happy place...I think I will be thinking about the Phillies!  5:07 start time....so looking forward to watching tonight....if only I had tickets.....I have NO OTHER plans than that - Maybe after the game I will head to the market - Larry is starting to complain about no fruit - it seems that he forgot where the market was...(yup - still being a pain in the ass....)  whatever! :)

I am hopeful for a WONDERFUL Wednesday - I hope yours is too! :)

YEA PHILLIES!  Hopefully, we'll go all the way to the World Series and finish as WS champs!  It's been busy.  Trying to keep my food in check and get in the exercise.  Haven't had the chance this week.  Hopefully tomorrow, I will be able to get to the gym.  Have a great day, everyone!

Morning, everyone!!

Yes, GO PHILLIES!!!  Taping the game to watch it after work, so much better when you can FF through the commercials!!

Another day at the store, I do love having my own business.

Hope everyone has a GREAT day!!

Peace,

Hi Deb.
How have you been feeling lately?  Has your stoma loosened up a little yet?  Are you keeping your food down?  I have been worrying about you.

Hi Swede!

How nice to hear that!  Well, some days are better than others.  Monday, a soft boiled egg got stuck in the morning and nothing would stay down all day.  Yesterday, I had no problems with anything.  So I guess it's going to be touchy for a while.

How are you feeling?

THANKS

Deb

Good Morning Lisa,
Glad to see someone is wacky...it might help me to be a little too.  I have been in a funk for days now.

Today has me waiting for my landlord to fix my thermostat, because I was miserable during the rain with the chill in my apartment, and I tried everything to get it working.

Today is the anniversary of my father's death, so i am going to try to do something positive to memorialize him and not focus on my sadness.  He died in 1977, when my oldest was a baby.  My children never got to know him, and I regret that deeply.

On my agenda also is an AA meeting and the gym.  I am going to try the elliptical for a little, because getting my compression stockings on was a nightmare, so I don't want to take them off to swim.

Then, home to tidy and walk Utley.

Hugs,
Trish

Trish, Get after the landlord! Us WLS folks are cold enough as it is!!! Till then - let me recommend a "warming throw" available from Costco. It's like an afghan sized electric blanket and is my lifeline.

I lost my dad early in life, at age 9. He was sick for a long time - had emphysema in the days before anyone realized that smoking was not the best thing for your health. He was also a drinker, and worked in a factory environment that probably was hazardous by today's standards. (Was there OSHA in the 1950's and 60's? I think not!)

I regret that my kids never knew my dad as their grandpa, and that I never knew him well enough while he was healthy to form very many lasting memories. But I see him in my son, especially - his dark eyes, playful nature, thick dark hair, musical talent. And I know he would be proud of my efforts as a mom. Truth is, he would probably be a bit bewildered by me, too, if he were alive today. I love your idea of doing something to honor his memory. My dad's birthday would be October 18, and I may follow your lead on that.

I'm FREEZING!!! You know...this weight loss makes a person COLD!! I'm def. not used to being chilled! I can't wear enough clothes or socks. I'm also not a sock person. Finding 2 that match is a challenge in our house. My kids have also given up. They wear any 2 socks they find. I think I need to put the electric blanket on my living room chair.

Found out Alexis has "exercise induced athsma" last night. When she plays soccer she runs 10 feet, stops, bends over and tries to take a deep breath...repeat over and over for over an hour. It hurts to watch her! But, now she should be much better. So glad to have a way to fix it!

Tonight there's a bonfire to get the schools all hyped up for this weekends homecoming game. Sierra has a parade at 6, Alexis wants to go to the bonfire at 7. Probably going to be a late night since I think the event lasts past 9. ON A SCHOOL NIGHT? I've got to get my beauty sleep people!
