Hi Everyone,
I have been lurking on your message board for a few weeks and wanted to say hi.
I am currently working toward a revision from VBG to RNY...I am in the daunting process of getting the approval and everything else reuired checked off my list.
I am wondering if you guys could help me to locate a support group that would be clode to the Quakertown, PA  or surrounding area.
I am excited to be on the boards and am enjoying reading all of your posts.
Hope to be able to get to know everyone and share my experieince with all of you as you will with me.
Thanks so much,
Mandy

Hi Mandy. I'm not up on support grouse in that area but I did want to welcome you to the PA board. Wish you all the best on your revision. Lots of Dr Brader patients here and I know they have nothing but great things to say about him.

Best of luck!!

Kathy

Hi Mandy.  Welcome.  I have no suggestions on support groups but I am a Brader patient and I go to his support groups the first Thursday of the month.

Hi Mandy,

Liz's cooking class is great once a month on a Saturday.  I go to Lehigh Valley Hospital support group at the hospital on Cedar Crest Blvd. in Allentown.  That group meets the last Wednesday of the month, we just had a meeting this week.  Where are you having your revision surgery?

Welcome!

Hi Everyone, thank you for the suggestions. I am having my surgery revision done at Lancaster General Hospital with Dr. Brader. I think I might try a support group at Lehigh Valley Hospital at the end of the month....I am looking for groups that are a bit closer to my home area (Quakertown). I am thrilled to be a Dr. Brader patient and don't mind the commute out there for surgery related care, but support groups would be wonderful if they were more local.
I have also heard wonderful things about Liz's cooking class and that sounds like fun. Would I have to contact Liz to posibly join? And if so does anyone have her contact info...thanks again.
Happy to be in

Hi Mandy,
You are at the best support online here in the PA Forum.  I hear great things about Liz's group, but have yet to get there...I tend to isolate a lot.

I hope you will continue to post here and let us know how you are progressing.

Hugs,
Trish
