***Torrential Thursday Roll Call***

Good Morning PA,
Well, everyone is bracing for a downpour in my part of the world, so I chose Torrential for my Word of the Day.

Wednesday was bizarre for me, and did not go as originally planned.  I am hoping Thursday is an improvement.

First, I am heading to Makefield Country Club, to attend a workshop on fund raising for Special Olympics with my sister, who is the fund raising coordinator for Bucks County Special Olympics.  Then, I want to get to the gym, so I can get a swim in, and soak in the hot tub.  Not sure how that will work out.  In the evening I am attending a Bible study at my church, which I love.  The group of ladies is very special to me, and I love them dearly.

I hope everyone stays as dry as possible and safe on the roads.

Hugs,
Trish

Morning, Trish..

Hoping the rain isn't too bad.  I will be in synagogue most of the morning and our roof tends to leak, even though we've fixed it a number of times.  It's at the joint of the windows/walls and the ceiling is such that there are a lot of windows to let in the beautiful sunlight (and also the rain).  The seat I usually sit in is right in front of where one of the leaks always seem to happen.  OYE

Anyway, I am up this late (again).  This time it's because Bron finally got his sick butt down here.  He was none too pleased that I wanted to talk seriously with him, as he was hoping to get away from drama by coming down.  I told him it was not about drama, it was about my feelings.  I had to tell him that I felt that I was not an important person in his life and if I am then he needs to show it more.  I am not mad that he was sick on Saturday.. that was more of a disappointment, he can't help that he was sick.  I am upset that our plans have been cancelled more than once because of the crap going on at home and that especially since we live so far from each other, there needs to be more of an effort to communicate when we are not together.   He told me he would do his best.   I'm willing to give him the opportunity to prove me wrong.   But, this is the last chance I am going to give him.   He said that he is off on Sunday, so I told him to come down here for Siehara's birthday party.  There would be no way for me to go to him.  He says he'll be here.  We shall see.   I won't tell her that he's coming, just in case.

Okay, enough about that... going to bed in a few minutes.  Have to be up with Siehara to be sure she remembers her lunch and all that before school stuff like breakfast and all that.. LOL  I am not going to pull her from school this time.  It's an important holiday, but with the memorial service, it is a bit longer and more boring than normal for her.

Then, I'll probably lay back down for a bit and then get up and ready for synagogue.  Services will be over around 12:30.  Then, I plan to come home and relax until Siehara gets home from school.  We will have dinner and then head back to the synagogue for a fun night of celebrating the completion and starting over of the Torah.  There will be singing and dancing and I plan to actually get in there and dance this year!!

Stay dry and careful on the roads out there!   Oh and check out yesterday's exercise thread for an update on my timed mile!! I cut off 1.23 from my time!!

Congrats on that time shaved off your run.  That is awesome.  My son and daughter are runners, and my daughter is hoping to do a 10K in November.  She ran cross country in high school.  My son started running a year ago, and he did a half marathon in March.  I can't run due to various health issues, but I like to do the elliptical when I can.

Hugs,
Trish

Good Morning.

At work, crazy night. Can't wait to go home and sleep. We are camping at the local race track this weekend with many of Johnny's family so I have alot of packing to do when I finally wake up tomorrow.

Hope everyone stays dry and safe in the ugly weather.

When life hands you lemons, ask for tequila & salt and give me a call!

Good Morning Pa,
Trish hope all goes well for you today, stay strong.  Lisa I hope things work out as you with like with your relationship, and that he does not disappoint you.
Today finds me back once again in Md, to do grandma duty.  In the morning we will be going to the bank, and then shopping.  I love to shop for the little ones.  So OC outlets here we come.  Did not sleep to good last nite, we are being audited for our federal income tax next Thursday, I know we have receipts for everything, but it still creates stress, as I tend to imagine all sorts of things.  They have audited my husbands business the last three years, and have found noting wrong (Pa state audit).  Not really sure why they keep on auditing, it seems if you are a small business they are trying to run you out of business.  Will get some exercise in, so hopefully I can get a full nites sleep tonite.  Everyone stay dry and safe today.
Hugs Ena

Good morning Lisa & PA,

Lisa, congrats on the time.  That's awesome.  You have one up on me for sure.  I do not intend to run anytime soon even when this weight comes off.  I have arthritis in my knees so I do pretty well with the walking I do.  However, I do plan on WALKING the Philadelphia half marathon in 2011.  November is the month for the marathon every year.  Its just too close for me to start training now. I can wait a year when I'll be in better shape and maybe have shave off about 30 minutes from my time from 2007.  We'll see.

So today not much going on.  Going to work in the car today.  No scooter.  Way to monsoonish out to be riding the scooter! Might go to the Goodwill either during lunch break or after work.  Cherish and I went to a thrift store last night after work.  I got 4 tops and a pair of jeans for $20!  I need to find more pants for work.  I have some size 16's but they don't quit fit yet.

Thats about it for my excited day.  Hope everyone stays dry and safe.

Be careful out there!

Good morning Trish and everyone!  I am up and about to make lunches for Emily and I.  Then off to school.  I actually come right home after school today - first time all week, tonight was supposed to be a Brownie meeting for Emily, but I jut found out that it is Back to School night at the High School so I think that is where I should be - we shall see.  That is my exciting day - trying to get past this emptional feeling of yukko -

Larry is going through crap at work and I am feeling very stressed out about it - seems that the Mayor - who I voted for and really liked back in the day - is trying to get rid of the Paramedics in this city - first by getting them out of their union and then by getting rid of them all together...  Larry is headed to the union this morning - seems as though they want him to get involved.  Should make for interesting days and weeks ahead.  Perfect timing with a Bat Mitzvah and a trip to Israel planned......ech...*****ally needs money anyway!  OY!

Have a  good day all!

ok, I don't get it.  If there are no paramedics, who is going to take care of all the people injured in accidents and having heart attacks and seizures and the like?  Is the mayor going to run all over Philly and do it?
