Intimacy- bra store part 2

I got 2 today... one was 86 the other 89.  Since surgery I think I have spent over 500 if not more on bras because they would get too big and then I would trash them.  They have free alterations.  So they can just take in my current bras as I loose the weight.  So I see these as an investment of sorts.  Because now that I have bras that fit- means less trips to the chiropractor... those co-pays start to add up.  THe sports bra I tried on was 40 something.  I got 2 what I call basic bras.  One has a lace over lay on it and the other one is just a satin like material.  One was a Chantelle and the other was a PrimaDonna.  Most of the bras that they sell there are Euro ones because they make ALL different sizes and Intimacy goes up to a 46k... and they do carry the larger undies... most of them they have to order in, but if you are wanting a matching set they can do it here.

They also keep a file on you in the store.  So say like that one bra that I would like to have- I could have family members get me gift cards toward it or just have them buy it for me lol.

And the girl that was helping me was bigger than me in height and weight lol.  They are all different shapes and sizes- unlike Vickies... bleck... anyways...

I would like to get up to 7 bras- but like I said it is an investment... so I am going to get one new one every few months depending on the cost of it... I didn't ask if they have sales- so you could always ask... and they do bra fittings for groups etc...

OMG I can't believe you paid $86 for a bra!   Although after looking Chantelle up I see that is the price at Nordstroms for them.  While pretty, they don't look all that supportive from the pic I saw..are they?  I agree too, VS bras are crap, tissue A product thumbnail of Va-Va-Voom Satin Full Cup Brapaper thin and no support on the sides for those side boobs.   I swear by Fredericks, here is the one I wear and also the smooth sensations and sometimes I even find new ones w/tags, overstock or last year's colors, on ebay for $14.  Try looking there for your Chantelle's, you might find them cheaper.  Since I was measured by Fredericks in Kof P I know my size and the styles I like.   They are the most comfortable bras I've ever worn and I have neck and back issues too and they wear like iron.  Here's the website if you have an interest.   http://www.fredericks.com/bras/full-cup-bras/br15,default,sc .html?defaultOpt=true

Freddies doesn't carry my size... and the 2 I bought as I lost the weight were worthless... but I know part of the reason I never liked them was the cups were too small... they didn't carry 38G so I had to go to a 40F... I needed a bra in the worst way so I took it...

Well let me tell you... there is support!  I could jump the girls didn't move... not as good as a sports bra but omg I was so amazed... but I told Jeremy I would be completely willing to met some of you at the store and hang out while ya got fitted...

But- yeah I dropped 80 something on a bra... as I lose weight... they can take it in... think of the savings... that is how I see it... I didn't get anything fancy... I got 2 solid bras... later on I will take pics of them and even do a before and after so you all can see the difference...

Jeremy wasn't with me... he had to work from home today to go to the knee doctor and he was soooooo shocked.. he said that it looked like I lost 15 pounds.... that made my day!!!

The first one is REALLY pretty, love the femininity of it.   The second probably more my style as my side boobs would pop over the top of the armpit area of the first bra; the second comes up higher into the pit area.   I have to have all of my boobs in snuggy!   I'll have to give these a try.  Thanks for the tip!

P.S. - I TOTALLY know what you mean about looking and feeling 15lbs thinner once they are off the waist.   I looked like I dropped a size when I got the right bra!   One of my pet peeves with post-op girls is that they don't tailor their clothes and buy bras that yank'em up as they go down in size....it is so inspiring and makes you feel so good and look so good in your clothes!!!  It's empowering!  You don't have to wait til your a size 8.   You can look fabulous in a size 20 that fits right!  Shop at Goodwill, it's temporary, cheap and helps out people on unemployment re-train for jobs.

The first one does on me cover the sides really well for me esp since that area and the arms and my back have a TON of loose skin.  Both can be worn under t-shirt material.  and even the first one has a ton of lace (so not me) it is really supportive.  I think that was the biggest eye opener for me trying on the bras and such of all kinds... was even if they were all lace or sheer the girls didn't giggle, wiggle, or pop out.  I do have say that the Euros really know how to make a bra lol... one of my fave fat girl stores is Ulla Popkens- their stuff is build so solid... I hate shopping for cheap made clothes... one of my biggest pet peaves lol... blah!

But the consignment shops that I have been to in my area and goodwill/sal army... none of them seem to carry past a size 14... grrrr lol!
