Thank you Karen!  Doctor P said to make sure that it is well documented as it may help in approval for eventual plastics... I bought a size smaller in a sports bra yesterday and it helped keep me still on the treadmill last night, but I was still only able to do a fast walk on 3.5 - to compensate, I pumped the incline up to 3 - but jogging.. no way - tried it and the left side was like I was being stabbed.

Way to go Maura!
84% excess weight gone....WOW!  I hate the BMI chart also...they should get rid of it.  Heck...I am overweight and proud of it :)
I too have breast pain.  I was told it was due to mass loss and I may want to look into a breast lift when I look into plastics after I have stopped losing.  I have fibromyalgia, and it is an all over pain.  It stinks, I wouldn't wi**** on my worst enemy.
I wish you the best as you continue your journey.  You have doen a fantastic job.  When I met you this summer, I thought you looked fantastic.

Thank you Sara!  I suppose giving the girls a lift down the road wouldn't be the worst thing we ever did for ourselves now would it?   I hope that you are all recovered from your accident.

Congrats on your progress Maura!   Re: the breast pain, I have "electrical" stabbing pains too but they radiate from the muscle down to the nipple and damn it stings (also have a small cyst which they claim is benign) mostly on the left, occasionally on the right and the surgeon says this is just hormones causing a surge in blood flow and suggested Oil of Evening Primrose and/or 600 IU of Vitamin E (which is typical script for fibrocystic breast pain).    I do have muscle pull pain under the armpits (by my side boobs as I call them) from the pendulusness of them now they are deflated.   Hurts when I release them from their constraints; (also hurts my neck!).  That kind of pain needs documenting to help you get surgery.   Hope you get relief (or surgery); whatever makes you happy.

Thank you Jackie,

Pendulusness - that is certainly a new word for me - appropriate, yet new.  The pain is actually toward the armit at the top of my breast - primarily on the left and occassionaly on the right.  I will see what the breast surgeon says and go from there....  doc and breast surgeon both said I have very fibrous breast.. for whatever that means.. I wear a bra all the time now except for the shower..

Maura,
Congratulations it took me 2 years to get to 82% weight loss and just an FYI the BMI shows that I am overweight as well. BUT I am no longer OBESE I will take it.

People comment on my over 100 pound weight loss and attribute it to my WILLpower, but it is my WANTpower: I WANT to be thin and healthy more than anything else!
