Hi all!!

Happy birthday to Larry!!!

Busy day for me today.  This afternoon I have my  6 week followup from my hysterectomy.  Hoping I get complete clearance so I can lift stuff, push a shopping cart, etc.  Then I have to go to my friend's house to hang with her grandson till his mom can pick him up after work.  I think Paul will be going over in case my appointment runs late.  Then this evening, we're attending a meeting that we're both apprehensive about.  A friend had said she started her own business and was looking for partners, so I asked her about it.  All she said was 'telecommunications', and after a 3 way call with her business partner, I don't know anything other than it's called Five Linx.  (I guess that's how it's spelled.)  We're supposed to go to a meeting to learn about it tonight.  I'm thinking it's some sort of pyramid scheme.  Any of you familiar with it?  Even if it's a scam, I still have to go---this girl is trying to get me into the company where she works full time.

Have a great day, all!!  Peace and strength to those dealing with issues!!

Good morning everyone!!

So many things to be thankful for....Happy Birthday, Congratulations, and Wait to Go's are in order!

Luckily, I don't have anything scheduled for this evening.  Maybe a load or two of laundry, dinner, homework, and if I'm lucky I can squeeze in some scrapbooking or crocheting.

Swede,

If you came to Liz's cooking class you would know! Just kidding!!

It is a VERY easy recipe.

You can pick and choose what meat, cheese and other additions you might want to add.

Here are the ingredients that I use for mine:

1lb lean ground beef
1/2 cup of diced green peppers
1/2 cup of diced onions
6 crushed whole wheat crackers(like ritz)
taco seasoning
garlic powder
oregano
salt/ pepper to taste
SF BBQ sauce (Walden farms is a good brand available at Shoprite and Giant)
spicy mustard

Pre heat oven to 350 degrees. Brown ground beef then strain excess liquid and put back in pan. Make sure you use a large enough pan to add ingredients. Add green peppers and onions then dry seasonings to taste. ( i don't really measure the seasonings) Then add 1/3 cup of SF BBQ sauce and a couple of squirts of spicy mustard (or more if you like). Mix well then transfer to a greased( Pam spray) pie plate. Then it is time to make the cheese topping....

Cheese topping ingredients:

2 cups shredded cheddar
1/4 cup egg beaters or 1 egg
1/4 cup milk
a squirt of spicy mustard
taco seasoning to taste

Mix cheese, egg, milk, mustard then add to top of meat spreading evenly. Sprinkle with taco seasoning on top. Bake in oven for 30-35 minutes until cheese is brown.

So good you won't miss the bun!!!!

Good Morning ---

Happy B-day to your hubby Larry.

Trish- Congrats, 8 months is wonderful.  (I don't know the story of your addiction- but I have a spouse who is in recovery from an opiate addiction)

Plans- well my everyday starts way to early and I am out the door by 7 for work and home around 4:15.  But because I joined the gym yesterday- my getting home will be delayed because I am going to the gym.  Unfortunately not to swim- I can not find that swim-suit anywhere-argh! (of course I located the swim skirt, goggles, towels)  But I am going to do some light exercises to get my routine started.  Then home by 6...play with the kids...and possible visit my dying family member (we go there often in the evening).

Happy Birthday Larry we will have to bring him some Boddingtons next time we see you. Glad you survived your tuesday mine was pretty long too.

Today I am work and very tired due to working all day and night yesterday and having to be in for 5 this morning. i will probably go home and nap.

I was wondering if you all could say a little prayer for my Uncle Wayne. He was moved to Hospice today, he has been fighting cancer for 2 years. They believe that teh cancer is due to exposure to agents while in the service in vietnam war.  He is my moms youngest brother and my grandparents baby, they will be surely devastated to lose their youngest child. I will keep you updated but it cannot be good that they took him to a hospice bed

Will certainly keep your Uncle Wayne and the rest of your family in my prayers!!  Hospice is a wonderful program, although it's heartbreaking too.  Hugs to all of you!!
