Good Morning Nicole.

I am back to work today with fists up. I know it is going to be a fight every step of the way. A co-worker is on the warpath and I am tired of his BS  so I will be less then friendly if cornered again. The boss is back today which should make it a bit better, at least I have an ally (did I spell that right? lol)

I am at wor****il 4, I have to run to target at lunch to get baby formula and exchange some diapers for a bigger size. After work just home to relieve my Grandmother of her babysitting duties and hang out with my little smunchykin until bed time. She did awesome last night and slept from 8pm to 5am! I'll take it! Of course she was wide awake for Daddy when I left LOL

I'm in the office early today. Will take a break for physical therapy but it's nose to the grindstone the rest of the day.

Back from vacation I was pleased not to have gained any weight. But over the summer, I haven't lost any either. With a lot of travel, the knee surgery, and not being able to be at the gym for the last month...well, I guess that's okay. But I can hardly wait to get back into the pool and into some classes and work off this next 5 lbs.

See my next post for an added update.

Good morning Nicole - it is a quiet morning on here.  I am up and dressed and getting ready to pack my food for the day.  Off to school and then home right away for dinner.  Tonight is Rosh Hashana and I am supposed to be headed to synagogue by 8.  We shall see how I feel after another long day of being on my feet.  I was exhausted last night and was in bed by 9:30 - would have been earlier but I was too busy doing my Mommy homework and filing out all those darned forms!  (oh yea - and playing on the computer!)

I hope you all have a great Wedensday!

Hi PA,

I have my pre-employment physical and processing today at 1pm so I will be quite busy this afternoon.  I have my support group tonight.  I have a speaker coming who is local and she can supply a lot of our supplements.

My part time job and my days off are coming to an end.  I will miss them, but you gotta do what you gotta do to make things work.

Have a good day all!

Clueless about weight loss and weight loss surgery of any kind.

Nicole, my day isn't any better. I have been up for 27 hours straight. So I am heading to bed by 8, then up at 2:30, get showered and dressed, get big boys off the bus, get them setteled with homework, and little ones kisses because I leave at 4:15, head to class until 9, then go straight to wor****il 6:30 am where I then have to stay for my "evaluation", then come home eat, shower, dress, and head to my thursday class. When I get up today at 2:30, I will not see my bed again until 1 pm tomorrow!

Whew, this mommy/employee/student thing is EXHAUSTING!!!!!!

Hope everyone has a wonderful day!!

When life hands you lemons, ask for tequila & salt and give me a call!

Morning Nicole and PA.

There isnt anything special about my day today.  I will be working until 3:30 and then heading home to do the homework dance with my kids before rushing my son out the door to football practice and my daughter to swimming practice.

Hey, I have a question.  My wife found some sugar free candy at wlmart.  It is the reese's peanut butter cups, minature size.  When I looked at the nutrition count it said there was zero sugar, but there was 4 g. of sugar alcohol.  How much sugar alcohol is too much sugar alcohol?  Does it matter?  I like the idea of being able to have a little sweet treat every so often but I dont want to fool myself either.  Any advice?

Hey Todd.. the sf candy is pretty good.   As far as sugar alcohols are concerned, that is an individual thing.  Everyone handles the sugar alcohols differently.  I, personally, seem to be able to handle pretty high amounts.  Others can't handle it at all.

BUT BUT BUT.. no matter how much you can tolerate..and trust me on this one... if you can stay away from it, do it.  This is something that can be a trigger food for you.  Personally, I really need to stay away from all sweets because they are definitely a trigger for me.  Do I stay away from them, no.  But, I sure wish I had that willpower because it is definitely not good for me.

If sweets are not a trigger, then having one or two every now and then (once your body is healed more) should not be an issue.  I think you are too early out to be doing it now though, especially considering the small size of your pouch and the need for protein first!

Like sugar, sugar alcohols depend on the individual and whether or not they'll affect you - you'll have to experiment and I would definitely do that at home. While I cannot tolerate anything over 3-5g of sugar at one time, sugar alcohols have no effect on me whatsoever. Probably NOT a good thing!!

If you can control the candy craving by having one small piece then I don't see that it would hurt you - however, remember, everything has calories and other things in it to make it taste decent, so if you think it may be a trigger food for you then it's better left at the store.

Good luck and remember, always try to experiment at home - just in case - you don't want to be in public!!

I get more sick from the Sugar-Free stuff than the real stuff.

That SF candy gives me diarrhea!
