It sucks.. I think that I'm becoming addicted to my scale or something. It seems like anytime that I'm in the kitchen (the floor is more even there then the bathroom), I have to get on the scale to see if I've lost any more weight.... It's actually getting kind of ridiculous! LOL
So I've decided that the scale is being put away in the closet, and I'm not getting it back out. I'm only going to go once a week to get weighed at my surgeons office...

I had to have my husband take the scale and hide it where I knew it wasn't. Because that daily, or even multiple time daily weighing will drive you insane at some point. Basically - there WILL be times...even months...that you hit stalls and wont' lose weight. And just seeing that time and time again can increase feelings of defeat...bring back "old" feelings of previous "failed" diet attempts...
Good job on getting rid of the scale and setting boundaries with yourself. You need it, and it's PHENOMENAL that you can recognize that so early out!

The damn scale didn't always seem to be accurate, so it was starting to drive me insane. Sometimes it seemed to be a bit off, and other times it wasn't. So I figured it wasn't worth the hassle.. I'll just go by the official scale at the doctors office, cause I at least know that is right.
I was a bit disappointed this week when I went to the surgeons office and weighed myself. But oh well, c'est la vie. I only lost 3 lbs this week, compared to 12 lbs the first week. But 15 lbs in 2 weeks isn't too shabby.

When I saw your title to your post, I was thinking---I'm addicted.......to Sugar Free Pillsbury brownies. How appropriate I thought, as I just made some on Sunday and grazed on them .
But than i opened up the post and saw the DEVIL himself ---THE SCALE !!!! I have decided not to make those "better than crack" sugar free brownies again for a long long long time.
Thank you for putting me back on track!

Yum, there is such as thing as SUGAR FREE brownies? Wow.. But if they're sugar free, how are they bad for you? Do they still have alot of fat or carbs somehow?
Here's the break down. BUT,,,,,,, if you make them with Unsweeteed applesauce instead of oil, and an egg white instead of the whole egg--the carbs go down to 14.3 !!

Thanks, I'll have to keep those brownies in mind when I'm further down the line..
Not that I think you should be having sf brownies this early out...because they can be a trigger food, are not super full of protein, and you need to concentrate on learning better eating habits in general....but you can also make the pillsbury sf brownies by omitting ALL the ingredients they say on the box...take a can of black beans, drain them, puree them completely with one cup of water and add to the box mix. You can't taste the beans...ups the protein count....and is still sf....
