Lazy Labor Day Roll Call
Hey all!!
Happy Labor Day!!!
Not sure what the day holds for us. Paul may go metal detecting with a friend. (We've met some other folks who are into treasure hunting and have become friends with them, and Paul is learning a lot from them.) Anson starts school tomorrow, so sometime later today/this evening, Paul will head home to DE. I haven't decided if I'm going with him; I probably will. We need to go to the post office to pick up the mail, and I need to pick up some stuff for here, which is easier for me to do than try to tell Paul where everything is. Doing some laundry this morning.
Yesterday was great. I had moved in 9th grade and lost touch with a lot of my friends. I'm slowly getting back in touch with some of them, thanks to the internet. About 4 years ago, I reconnected with an old friend but haven't seen her. I learned yesterday that she's at the beach---just 7 blocks from our place! (She's staying in the building where I'd eventually like to live.) We walked up and found them and visited for a few hours. I don't think I have to tell you guys what it's like to reconnect with old friends!!!

Good morning Trish and everyone. What an amazing weekend. I am going to try to put it all in another post with all the ups and downs of the weekend. (There WERE food issues!)
I have already been up and out to the surgeon to get drained - getting less and less each time I go! Going to take Joshua to get some School uniforms and some supplies - should be LOTS OF MONEY spent today! Oh goodie! (eye roll) Then off to the market to get enough food for lunches for the two whole days the kids have school this week. Then home to get ready for school tomorrow! I am actually excited about it! :)

Now, we are headed up to Pottsville to spend the day BBQing with Bron and his family and friends.

yes, the girl was all ready for school. I made her do everything before we left because I knew it would be bedtime by the time we got back from Bron's house.
We both forgot her 4:00 medicine today and by 8:00 she was kind of off the wall. So, I am really glad I had her do it ahead of time.
Her lunch: so proud... turkey wrapped around cheese stick, 100 cal pack of crackers, clementine, bottle of water. She said she didn't WANT the bread!! No complaints here!

Happy Labor Day everyone - we're home from our long weekend at the beach and just relaxing at home today. Friday turned out to be a bust from the storm - it rained and got a little windy but where we were was relatively quiet. I guess if you were at the ocean it was pretty rocky.
I've been dealing with some nasty pain in my left arm for about a month now so Saturday night when my friends' friend who is a physical therapist came by he looked it and said it's rotator cuff tendonitis and told me what I should be doing for it so now I'm sporting a hot patch on my shoulder and I did rub my shoulder down last night so its feeling much better - I was putting stuff on my arm right on the pain but that wasn't cutting it. So hopefully this will help it heal and feel better.
Not much else going on for us right now - kind of quiet and quiet is good.
