Outfit and Attitude of the Day Wed Edition

Morning, all...

Today I am choosing to be calm and productive.  I'm choosing to focus on what NEEDS to get done without getting myself distracted by the other "noise" from things that "could" get done.

I'm choosing not to feel guilty for choosing to not go to the gym this morning, as I had things to do around the house before work that needed to be done to decrease my stress later.  That's a healthy choice too.

This morning I picked a nice swing skirt in black, topped by a form-fitting purple long T-shirt type of shirt (dressier than a T).  Almost flat nude sandals (the only ones that didn't kill the blisters I got yesterday) and a fun pink and bronze necklace that jingles slightly when I walk.  It's an outfit that I think looks nice and also makes me conscious of paying attention to my weight (in a good way) and therefore what I put into my mouth.  That's good, because co-workers have stopped in my office TWICE so far this morning to tell me that there's homemade carrot cake downstairs.  Sigh.  Not even tempted at the moment.

Today, I am wearing black pants (my staple), black flats and a pink oxford and (drumroll please) - the pink oxford shirt is......TUCKED IN.... yes, let me repeat that..  I am Tucked today, tucked in and out in public!!!!!  belted of course :), it would be uncivilized otherwise..

Now, many of you might be like.. short sleeves.. what are you crazy.. well, the office I am in is usually freezing.. have actually at times had to put on a small heater on when it was warm outside - it was a great choice for the office, but a HORRIBLE choice for the 2 mile walk that Sandra and I took at the park today at lunch.. I am still cooling down over an hour later...

Have I mentioned that I tucked my shirt inside my pants??? Ah, such a little, yet big thing!!

My attitude of the day was one of feeling amazing and pretty today.

As the summer is drawing to a close I chose to wear my black capris, that are embroidered at the hem with beautiful white flowers - my boss calls them my Doris Day capris - she loves them.  If I had bought them in a regular store I think she would also have a pair, but I found them in a thrift shop.  The shirt is a light knit, deep scooped neck, black and white print with cap sleeves an empire waist.    I chose my white lace wedge summer shoes with the white bow on the front.  Simple jewlery today, silver hoop earrings, my silver watch, and as always my beautiful wedding band.

I love this outfit and am a bit sad that summer is ending and I won't be able to wear it much longer.  There is next summer as long as it doesn't get too big on me over the winter!!!!!!!

So I got dressed for First Strides and put on my sweat shorts like normal. Then I realized that I get pretty hot in them so. Looked around for looser shorts and found the skort I tried on at Liz's. I decided that should b a good choice. It was definitely better than the sweat shorts. I was just a little paranoid about how short it was in the back but other than a few stretches that required bending over, it was fine. I also wore a sleeveless shirt with the wicking material. Felt good and I'll probably wear this every wee****il it gets closer.
