It's funny because here in NE PA the WWs are a franchise unlike most of the US (where they are company owned) so they are a little different. Many of the leaders I've met are not model thin.
I guess it has either more to do with that store or that region's management. I wouldn't hammer an entire company because of one incident where we really only know one side of the story.
In the weightless industry WW has the best track record but even still they, like the others must use the disclaimer "results not typical"

I see your point...I just thought it was a bit harsh that because her bmi did not register with them as making her thin enough she obviously was quite successful using the plan. And WW tends to promote healthy body image to the public. So I am wondering if this was not for just a regular office but more for a national/corporate situation? I just get so upset when I see these articles because believe me...I know what it is like to be passed over/ridiculed because of weight...I think we all must have had some experience with that at some point...but it is part of the societal makeup that being thin makes one better...and we all know that is not true! Okay getting off my soapbox now!!!

BMI is total bull**** any way.
Most athletes in sports that require power and muscle mass probably don't meet the BMI requirements for healthy adults. That's why before the BMI craze started we used hydrostatic weighing. Now there is the BodPod which takes less time and is way easier.
BMI is NOT an indication of body fat percentage or of cardio fitness.

Hi, I am an ex-weigh****cher's leader and know they are pretty strict about the weight. They send leaders that put on weight to special classes to help them get back on track.
Funny, when I went to a WW luncheon meeting, most of the woman in charge of the Philly division were pretty heavy, and the lunch was hardly what I would call low-cal. I had just lost 100 pounds, and was down to the 160 lbs that I currently weigh. I went to the lunch and just skipped eating. I thought it was a joke!!
