***A tale of two Tuesdays roll call***
I am up, showered, dressed and freaking out about the million things that I have to do today - why oh why do I surprise myself every year and think of all the things that have to get done the day before I go back to work? Doesn't help that my surgeon wants me to continue to take it easy.....ha ha ha!!!! What a funny guy! My nephew's Bar Mtizvah is this weekend and I need to make sure the kids have all the clothes they will need for the weekend events. Friday night services and dinner, Saturday morning services, Saturday night reception and Sunday brunch.....oy!
so - today will be running around making sure everyone has what they need, and I MUST get my pedicure at some point - I have AWESOME shoes to wear this weekend and have to have pretty toes.....YES I DO!
I am also NOT going to nap today - That was me telling myself BTW! I have to get to sleep at a decent hour tonight and set my alarm for 6AM. Back to school tomorrow. Excited but a little leary as I really am still not allowed to lift anything and I haven't done all that much in my classroom. Oh well, it will get done somehow!
Happy Tuesday y'all!
Nothing new here today. Paul is out metal detecting; still hasn't found anything exciting. Anson is playing video games. Cats are sleeping. I've got some laundry in, and talked to someone about a job today. (I don't usually talk about the job search---don't want to 'jinx' myself. Not worth talking about till I actually have good news anyway.)
We're keeping an eye on the weather reports for this week, with Hurricane Earl churning around. If it looks like it's going to hit the beach as anything higher than a category 2, we'll be packing up and heading home.
Hope everyone has an awesome day!!! Wishing strength and peace to those dealing with life's issues!!!
I actually made it to work without my car breaking down or locusts swarming or hellfire and brimstone... it's a good first day back! I've only got 1534 unopened emails... and 27 voicemails... not bad for being out for almost 4 weeks!
I'm feeling good... trying to eat and drink while in meetings has been a challenge, but so far, no one's objected. Tough if they do!
Tomorrow is weigh in day... can't wait to see how much I've lost since surgery.
Have a great day and welcome, David... I'm a newbie, too :)
Good Afternoon Pam,
I am having a weird day. I got up, walked Utley, went over my sister's to give Utley some playtime in her yard, Came home and laid down for a few minutes because I was in a lot of pain and fell asleep till 2:00 when my phone rang. Then, Utley decided to play games when I was getting ready to take him for his walk, and ran upstairs when I went to put his leash on, so I left him and went to Rite Aid for my prescriptions. That will teach him to play with me.
The rest of today has me making some homemade turkey noodle soup, coz my sister gave me a large turkey breast and I cooked it yesterday. I also have to make some bibs to sell. My friend is taking them to her Mom's store on Friday.
I hope everyone has had a good day.
Hugs,
Trish
