Trish, Lynn, Steffi, Julia and Swede (when you catch upon posts), I hope you are all in tip top shape running marathons and looking back at these days very soon!

This project assignment is continuing to kick my arse - 34 hours by COB Wed.. I mean, come on.. this is craziness.. and add over 2 hours commute daily... I need a long, long, long nap!

So, I've been a bit freaked and didn't want to post this, but I have a lump in my right breast and went to my PCP and he confirmed that I wasn't crazy, there really is a lump and he ordered a mammogram and ultrasound.  I was thinking maybe it was just that I was feeling something inside my breasts that I never felt before (since they are now actually rivaling the gravity stricken breasts of my grandmother). I go for those tests on friday and then have an appt on the 17th to see my pcp to review results.  I'll feel better just knowing that there is a prayer or two out there to make sure that it isn't anything.  My best friend had a bilateral mastectomy and had many issues along the way, so I am probably more worried than I would have been otherwise.

Well, that's all for now,

G'night PA!

xoxo,

Maura

Maura, I'm glad you told us so we can share your burden with you!!! We'll be hoping and praying for good news and the best outcome for you!!! I understand your fear---I was pretty scared when I felt the huge, hard lump in my abdomen. I'm grateful that weight loss is allowing us to find problems that would otherwise remain hidden! Best of luck and lots of hugs to you!!!

Maura honey,

You definately have my thoughts and prayers.  Maybe just a cyst!  And, if worst case scenario - well hell - you know that you've caught it earlier than you probably would have otherwise.  Hang in there girlie!

Maura, I just read this and my thoughts and prayers are with you.    It is totally possible that it is just a cyst, but I'm glad you are getting it checked out so whatever needs to be done can be taken care of sooner instead of later.

I'll definitely be thinking of you as you go through this.

Love ya!

Thanks Pam, If he sends me for a biopsy after my appt for tuesday, I might need some Maura-l support.

Julia - other than posting to all of you, only my husband knows - thanks for the support :).. Doc said I have "fibrous" breasts, so I am hoping that it is nothing.

Ena - thank you for your thoughs & prayers!  It is appreciated!

Love you guys - xoxo

Maura,
I want to tell you that I am praying for you for your mammogram on Friday.  I had a lump five years ago, and then they had me come back for a special mammogram, and ultrasound.  Then, the breast surgeon ordered a breast MRI, which I had to go to Penn for, because I weighed over 300 pounds and would not fit in the normal MRI machine.  It turned out to be a cyst, after 2 months of worrying and tests.  That was when I went to Barix and met Dr. Marymor, the very next month.  Point is. use your faith, and trust God to be right there with you in the middle of all this.

Love,
Trish
