Oh God, don't get all sappy on us....

Seriously though Swede, wishing you the best today.  Not to sound too cliche but tomorrow is the first day of the rest of your life.  You WILL do great and continue to succeed.  If you need anything at all, get a hold of me.

Swede - YOUR SURGERY'S TOMORROW!?!?!?!?!? THAT'S AWESOME!!!! Can't wait to hear from you afterward!!

Today is a lot like yesterday. No plans. Gearing up for having next week off. We're going to a huge waterpark in Niagara Falls, Canada. Then hanging out in Erie at the beach. I've looked forward to the beach this summer ever since I had the surgery. It's like nothing I've ever experienced...being thin at the beach.

Jim's still on third and he's off sleeping now. I've got an interview with a new potential daycare family this afternoon...forgot about that til now. I also think I need to cook something today...it's too hot for cooking really.

Hi all!!!

Steffi---Good luck with your PATs today!!!  So cool you're getting plastics now!!!!

Today has me preparing for surgery tomorrow.  I want to have some food staged for Paul to bring to the hospital---I'm really worried they'll give me stuff like regular jello, so I want some good choices available.  And since we live just 3 blocks from the hospital, it won't be a problem for him to grab stuff for me.  I'm not sure how long I'll be in; I'm thinking I should be home on Sat.

Have a great day, everyone!!!

Julia,

3 words - "muscle milk light"  (really easy to take with you, doesn't have to be refrigerated except you want it cold to drink, and good protein, lactose free, aspartame free, tastes great).

We'll be thinking about you tomorrow - make sure Paul posts and update or calls one of us to post.  I think you have my number already but just in case - 267-261-1582 - if there's ANYTHING you need, just call!

Hugs, kiddo!

Thanks so much, Karen!!!!  I actually have some Muscle Milk Light at home.  I'll stick it in the fridge tonight so Paul can just grab it when he comes to the hospital.  Thought he could bring a lunch bag cooler with some yogurt, cheese sticks, stuff like that.

I told Paul he needs to post an update tomorrow or text you, and he shook his head and said "You're gonna have to make a list!  I'll never remember all of this!"  (Teresa also said he's to text her tomorrow.)

I'll have my phone with me, and maybe my laptop, and will try to keep in touch.  484-716-2533 in case you don't have it.

Julia,

I found both when i was in the hospital for my appendix and with my MIL that the nurses station has a fridge to keep your stuff in.  You just have to make sure everything is labelled (or they will label it for you) with your name and room/bed number.   Made life a LOT easier!

Good luck!

Oh, that's good info to have!!!  Not sure I'll need it---I live within walking distance of the hospital, so Paul can bring things with him, but I may still take advantage of it.

Yeah - you never know when you might need a little protein boost at an inconvenient time... especially with the way anesthesia and surgery can whack you out...
