Birthday gift

So my birthday is next month. Mike and I are buying only small gifts this year because it looks like we are buying a BIG thing this fall  (A vacation/retirement home in FL! Party anyone?).

Yesterday I had a quick return to make at Marshall's. I had a minute to browse around and for some reason gravitated toward the accessories. (Maybe it's because fat women can always look at purses and scarves, right?)

But yesterday, I noticed a rack of leather belts. Nice brands, under $20. 

I haven't owned a belt since 1985. That's..what...25 years????

I tried on two, daring to try on size M.

Both were TOO BIG!!!!

I didn't buy one, but told Mike that getting a belt would be a terrific birthday gift. The small was a bit snug, but that's probably where I will end up.

And for some reason, the prospect of owning a belt is more exciting than I can even express!

Good for you, Lynn!  I've found (totally surprisingly) that a belt can be one of the most FUN accessories for all sorts of clothing!  I've started a little "collection" of them, even.  Haha.
