     Happy, happy birthday to a fellow July Leo.  I just celebrated my 54th on 7/25.  Not many of us Leos are born in July so that makes us VERY SPECIAL.  Have missed seeing you.  Hope that you'll be at the Barix support group on Saturday 8/7.  How is your mom doing?  I know that you are teaching on Wednesdays.  Anyhow - keep cool and enjoy your very special day.

Its been like forever since i have posted here - not even sure which pic is in my profile- but none of that really matters - I just wanted to wish Arlene a very happy birthday!!

Thanks Everyone.

 I had a good day doing some of my favorite things - Starbucks, movie, dinner with long time friends.

When I realize that I am 59 and feel better now than I ever have,  I naturally feel very proud of the choice I made to become healthy.   Of course some normal aging things have occurred, but I am no longer obese and have made exercise such an important part of my life.  I look forward to many healthy and happy years ahead.  The struggle to maintain the weight is a daily one, but so worth it.  Yes, I do not always make the best choices but I know that I can control this eating thing.  I do not let some off moments gain momentum and take me to the point of no return.  I know how quickly the weight can come back and it is one of the scariest things to have to face on a daily basis.  

All of you have been so important to my success.  I do not like missing support meetings but in the last few months I've had my mother's illness to contend with.  She is getting stronger and is back home.  I watch the many struggles she has to deal with because of obesity and I know that she is so gratetful that I will not have to follow in her footsteps.
