Sultry Saturday Roll Call

Good Morning PA!
I can't belive it is 2 am and no one has posted a roll call yet.  Today, the dog goes to the kennel, the boy comes home from camp and the in-laws are coming to visit (They are going with us to DC for the Boy Scout parade on Sunday.  It is hot here and it will only be getting hotter.   Stay hydrated and don't use the heat as an excuse not to exercise today (no excuses...been there done that...those days are long gone!)

Good Morning PA! 

WOW - it is seriously dark at 4am!  In a few minutes I will head out the door for a 14 mile bike ride with a friend who is training for a marathon.  Today is her long run of 14 miles and I can ride but not run the 14 miles with her.  After that, I will probably crash and burn for the rest of the day.  Have a great one!!

Good morning and good night. I don't know why I am still awake (4:50am), been watching movies with my hubby. He looked over at me about an hour ago and thought he would find me asleep. 

Saturday is a day off of work. Hopefully I could handle the heat in my computer room to get some work accomplished, if not I think I will veg in the living room with the air on, do a little cleaning and then some crafting.

Kinda fun here today. Remember. a few weeks back when a woman from Canada posted here about vacations in the Philly area? She then asked about PA Dutch country and I sent her some ideas privately. Well long story short is that we are getting together his afternoon for some Turkey Hill iced tea and conversation. Should be fun to meet her.

I have some writing to do, and planning a class for church tomorrow.

Tell the OH friend from Canada that I say, "Hi."  I was wondering how she made out on her trip.  Should be neat meeting a new friend like that.

Hi all,

I slept in this morning (6:30am).  Yea, that's sleeping in for me.  I love the nice cool mornings up here in Potter County.  We are in conservation mode, so I will be spending the weekend around home.  Hope you all have a great one!

Today we are up and getting ready to leave the house to go to South Jersey to have breakfast with a very, very, very dear friend and collegue of Gene's.  After meeting up for breakfast at the Kountry Kitchen in Pittsgrove NJ, Gene and I are going to head over to the Gloucester County 4H fair grounds.  Gene has never been to a 4H fair sooooooooo I think it's time to introduce him to something that was a huge part of my development as a young woman.  It's going to be a hot one so not sure how much time we'll spend out there.  Today is the peach festival bake off.  Back in the late 60's I won the blue ribbon for the peach back off with my grandmom's recipe for peach cobbler and homemade whipped cream.......

After that I'd like to head over to Cowtown Rodeo to wonder their Saturday flea market - again depends on the heat index if we do that.  Otherwise might head down to Berlin Farmers Market to wonder the air conditioned buildings we'll see what the rest of the day brings.

Stay hydrated today - hope everyone's Saturday is enjoyable...

Quiet day today, staying inside where it's cool, going to get some cleaning done. 

Then tonight hubby and I are going to see Lisa sing!!  Will post a full review tomorrow!
