Sleepy Saturday roll call
Good morning...barely. I slept in today and it felt good. I am doing a few things around the house then hoping to get over to Boalsburg to meet Maura. (My in laws got caught in the rain storm last night and we had to rescue them...they weren't laughing but I was....I told them to take an umbrella:) I am hoping my son will go to the arts fest with me but considering he calls them "arts & craps"... I don't know. I am hoping all the walking will help me lose my stubborn last 1.6 pounds. I only lost .2 so far this week and it is killing me. I soo wanted to be at my goal by my 8 month post-op visit...this Tuesday. I am not giving up...

Hi all!!!
I've been hit or miss with the boards the past few weeks, but I'm at least trying to read and keep up with things.
The morning started out sunny and beautiful here in Ocean City, MD, but now it's dark and raining. Doesn't bother me---it could snow when I'm here and I'd still be happy. This was a long week, with the renters from hell in the condo just below us. I think they had at least 10 people there---in a 1 bedroom condo with the capacity to sleep 6. They were noisy all week. Not sure what they were doing, but our whole condo was shaking at times. We went down the other night and asked them to be quiet. Then yesterday, we found they had sprayed silly string everywhere from our steps all down to the ground level, and threw the empty cans in the bushes behind the steps. They denied it when we confronted them. But considering it was the only occupied rental this week, we knew it was them. We called the rental agent and complained yesterday, and the people moved out by dinner time. It's ok to have a good time when on vacation, but not at the expense of others, and it doesn't give you the right to live like pigs. This is why we never rent out our condo. Most of the renters here are pretty good, but we've had a few jerks who disturb everyone.
I've got to ask for prayers, well wishes, or whatever you all believe in. I talked to a recruiter about a job the other day, and I think she's interested in hiring me, but it's up to the project manager. She was sending my resume to him and told me to call her if she didn't get back to me on Friday. I'll be calling on Monday morning. I wasn't interested in this opportunity when it first came up---there were no details, and the info I got wasn't appealing. Now that they have things in place, I'm very interested. This could be a great opportunity. I'm sooo hoping and praying it works out for me!
I'd really appreciate any prayers you guys can provide---they seem to work really really well!!!!
Have a great day, all!!!

I was totally awake at 3:25 AM - sitting at Lisa's apartment - sobering up and enjoying the night that I had! I so loved pretending that I was a 26 year old again! Drank, Danced and flirted - in person and via text - sorry Pam, Eric and Swede! No - wait - I am SOOOO NOT sorry! :) you all texted right bac****il of course - Eric and Swede had to go to bed....party poopers! But our great friend Pam, met us for "2AM brunch" Weird that in Allentown, they didn't have kosher salami....huh?!?! HA HA!
I woke up about 8 ish this morning, hung around Lisa's for a while, got myself together - ignored the GPS and went the wrong way on the highway...thanks for THAT rescue Eric! Got back to camp, and went to services. My oldest two children came to find me for the prayer that we say for the deceased. They both knew that today is my mom's yahrzeit and knew I would be sad. I was even more moved that they came to me and to each other for the prayer. Needless to say - lots and lots of tears. I am so proud of them. Molly even asked if she should go get Emily, I said no - if Emily doesn't remember, then better for her - no need to make her sad. She was with me last night for the prayer. I think I am going to go for a reflecting walk about camp and just talk with her as I enjoy the dampness of the mountains. It is soooo NOT her - so it will make me laugh and cry at the same time!
Being that it is the Sabbath - there is a lot of quiet time today. The rain seemed to have stopped so I am hoping that there will be swimming this afternoon. I napped through yesterday's swim....oops! I could definitely go for an poolside nap later today!
Have a great Saturday everyone!
