lexapro..wellbutrin help
I take Lexapro and have for years. I haven't had either of those problems though so I guess I am not much help. Before my surgery I was also taking Wellbutrin. The only advice I can give you is that everyone reacts differently to medications so it is possible that what you are experiencing could possibly be related. Also entirely possible that it isn't related at all. I know not much help. The big question is how is the depression? Maybe it is worth the trade off. Absolutely do not stop taking it on your own. And speak to your doctor about your concerns. Follow whatever advice your doctor gives you and be your own advocate for good health. Hope you feel better soon and things improve for you.
I took welbutrin before surgery (for smoking cessation) For me (and this by no means happen to everyone) it worked great up until 3 weeks out....I became depressed and suicidal (no history there of), was having night sweats and night terrors...I do NOT want to scare you...I know LOTS of people who use it with no problems....
There are other options out there....talk to your doc about your side effects and see what they think.
Instead of complaining that the rosebush has thorns, be happy that the thorn bush has roses.
pre-pregnancy I was on lexapro for anxiety and did great with it, no weight issues or nightmares. Now I am on wellbutrin (since becoming pregnant) and it seems to be OK. I don't have any side effects although I question how well it works sometimes.
I'd talk to your Dr - there are lots of anti-depressant options out there now
Good luck
