Hey, a WOW for me!!
As some of the 'old-timers' on this board can attest to when you get past that 2 year mark the wow's are much fewer and far between so when they do come they're SWEET...
Monday at my granddaughter's BBQ one of my step-daughters friends came by - I've met this person over the years at different events - christenings, showers, weddings - but the meetings are few and far between so when she didn't speak to me at the BBQ it didn't surprise me - only because we haven't met that often anyway - and honestly I was so stinking tired that day and busy with one of the great-grandbabies that I didn't pay much attention to anyone else.
This morning I had a friend request from her on FB and a message - she said 'OMG Kathy I'm so sorry I didn't speak on Monday - I honesty didn't recognize you - you look amazing!!' - Well now, let me just tell you all how GREAT that made me feel!! I haven't seen her in about a 1 1/2 years (since a wedding) and I didn't think I had changed that much since then but I guess I have!
So that WOW, along with Pam's post about recommitting ourselves really has me motivated (well, as motivated as I can be this morning - LOL!!).

Congratulations Kathy!
I'm sure that when you see Dr. Boe he also will be impressed with the work you have done As you said, the WOWs get fewer the farther out you are so cherish the ones you get. Wouldn't it be great if we could bottle them and just take a sip when we need one. If I could figure out how to do that I could make a lot of money - oh well. Keep cool

Congrats on the WOW Kathy, you really do look great. I certainly don't want to sound tacky but stress takes alot out of us and you have less of it now and I think YOUR spirit is glowing through a little more as it is more about you and the hubby and "fun" these days - you are always going places and doing things. Good for you.
P.S. -- Donna's right. If we could only bottle the WOWs to take a sip later, boy, wouldn't that be a great transfer addiction!!

1 choice @ a time > 1 day @ a time. Slow to Succeed is still Success ;-)
Nothing tacky about it, Jackie - its the truth - as much as I miss my mom I do not miss the daily stress we were all dealing with - it was definitely taking a toll on me, and since we all knew she would never get any better I'm now glad that she didn't really suffer as much as she could have.
But now its time to get back to ME and the things I need to be doing - and I'm working on it. Hubby and I are enjoying our 'freedom' and being just a couple again - we were only married for 2 years when mom moved in with us so it's almost like being newlyweds again.
Yeah, bottled WOW - that would be a best-seller!!
