Thanks for thinking of this and posting it, Pam - I'm right there with you - 2 1/2 years out and just out of the routine of tracking food, not drinking with meals, lack of formal exercise and letting way too many carbs back into my life.

IMMEDIATE GOALS:
Dust off my food tracker and start logging my daily intake again, including protein goals
Get the 'bad' carbs out of the house and out of my life
Dust off my exercise bike - fire up my MP3 and ride my butt off

SHORT TERM GOALS:
Get back up to the 15 miles (1 hour) on my bike
Menu planning - both at home and at work and better food shopping
Get my butt to Barix support meetings

LONG TERM GOALS:
Lose a total of 200 lbs like I had initially set for myself (by my 3rd surgiversary)
Get a personal trainer to help me achieve that goal of losing 200 lbs

Also just found out that hubby's triglycerides are very high, so am going on line today to check out diets and info on that - he does watch sugar but is also a carb-hound, so getting them out of our lives is going to be good for both of us.

I copied and pasted a copy of this onto my desktop and will put it in my iPhone as a daily affirmation and to keep me focused and on track.

GREAT idea to print it out Kathy!  I think I'll follow YOUR lead on that one!!!

Ok....so today I am going to be positive.  In addition, to the goals I have for myself to continue to pursue, I am also going to list some of my accomplished goals.  I'd love reading what you all are shooting for, but I really want to hear what goals you have achieved too.

ACCOMPLISHED GOALS -
- buy clothes anywhere I want
- sit comfortably in an airplane seat with no seatbelt extender
- lose more weight than I weigh
- do something adventurous that I would never have done or could have done before (parasailing)
- exercise without feeling like I'm going to die afterwards
- climb ladders with the fire company (not so much a height thing for me as much as it was me thinking I was too big to do it)
- wear an airpack at the fire company without using a waist extender
- go on amusement park rides with my kids
- go on the playground equipment with my kids
- sit in a booth at a restaurant and/or not worry about getting a chair with arms on it
 - no longer be in the obese category of BMI

IMMEDIATE GOALS -
- Get back to basics....
1.  Plan my meals ahead of time and track my food, especially the days I am off.
2.  Take my vitamins every day.
3.  Increase my fluids
4.  Re-introduce some exercise to my routine, even if it's just a couple days a week.
5.  Eliminate any bull**** excuse that I have in my brain that has prevented me from doing these four things.
-  Get myself back under goal.  I put myself above my goal by 3-4lbs while on vacation.

SHORT TERM GOALS -
- get my weight down to the 240 range
- Get my butt back in school and continue my pursuit of a college degree, even if it is just one class.
- Obtain a Firefighter certification that I long avoided due to my weight
- Run a mile
- Trying something new that I would not have done before (zip-lining here I come)
- buy XL shirts and feel comfortable in them

LONG TERM GOALS -
- run the March for Babies
- get my weight down to the 230 range
- plastics to deal with my chest, which as many of you know, is my big self hang-up
- be comfortable with my body enough to take off my shirt at the pool or beach

Ok, these are some of my thoughts.  Took a while to come up with them and with more time I could probably think of some other big ones, but occasionally I actually need to do work here at work.  Strange huh?

"5.  Eliminate any bull**** excuse that I have in my brain that has prevented me from doing these four things." OMG Eric - LOVE THIS ONE.  It sums everything up.  I'm adding it to mine!

Alright...I'll go along with that...

NOT shopping at Lane Bryant etc
Taking spin classes and LOVING it
Dressing in "cute" outfits and actually like what I see when I look in the mirror
Be able to work a full shift at work and not feel like I'm gonna fall over in pain and not walk into the house looking like an 80 year old cripple
Meeting some of the BEST people on the face of the planet.  It wasn't an original goal to have such good friends, but hot damn it, I'm sure glad it happened!
Wearing SINGLE digit clothing. WTH?  NEVER anticipated that one in all honesty
Going to places like Hershey and Dorney and walking the whole park, sometimes 2-3 times, without being in pain
Being able to recreate dishes in a more healthy way so I can still enjoy them, and share them, and have OTHERS enjoy them too (this was a BIG concern of mine before hand...)
Buying, wearing, and LOVING my new found FMPs.  I always loved heels, but they would hurt to much after about 30 red hot seconds...so this is totally awesome
Being able to play with little kids and not feel like I'm going to die, or worse yet, kill them with my weight
Having people tell me "I never would have thought you were overweight..." (this also wasn't on my list before hand...but am glad it's there)
Having a normal BMI, BLOOD PRESSURE, BLOOD SURGAR, CHOLESTEROL levels....

Great post there Pam!

Immediate goals:
Get back on track food wise - I have the fridge stocked full of healthy items, now to eat them

Short term
Loose the last 20 pounds to get to Dr Brader's goal weight for me (I am already about 8 pounds below my pre-pregnancy weight)

Be more organized in my life so with going back to work I still have time to make Amelia my #1
priority

Refocus and allow myself to be important too

Long Term
Continue to live a healthy lifestyle

I have NO doubt that you will keep Amelia your number one priority in your life....that's obvious obvious OBVIOUS to everyone who knows you and who has seen you as a mother already :)  Just remember, in order to be her role model...you need to keep yourself a very close second priority :)

Great post.  Got me to thinking.

IMMEDIATE goals:
Continue to work out a minimum of 4-5 x a week, with a trainer 2 x week.
Reach Onederland (3 more pounds to go)
Resume daily food tracking and make my protein goal every day.
Continue taking my vitamins.
Remember to enjoy the process and each and every day.

SHORT TERM GOALS:
Lose the 7 pounds to reach my 9 month goal for my Brader follow up on August 19th.
Continue training for the 5k I am signed up for in October.
Make time for my photography- I am at least as important as everything else.  :-) I schedule my exercise, grocery shopping, etc.  Photography is my hobby and my mental escape, I need to make time for it at least 1 weekend a month.
Enjoy my 35th birthday on my first cruise in the greatest health of my life.

LONG TERM GOALS:  (Within the next year)
Be cleared by Brader to start trying to conceive at my 18 month post op mark.
Continue successing by working the tool, taking my vitamins and exercising.
Begin saving for plastics after baby (ies?)
