Sparkled Sunday Roll Call
Happy 4th of July!
We are off to the 4th fest in State College. It is ranked as one of the best fireworks shows in the world. They will have about 16, 000 shells going off tonight all choreographed to music. It is awesome. They also have a carnival, nature shoes, stuff for kids, military reenactmments and a paratrooper with a flag with stars on it 6 feet high. We are volunteering at the 14 foot american flag birthday cake booth. My company supports it, so we volunteer and get VIP tickets. The VIP tickets allow you to sit in a special close up section to see the show. FANTASTC! Does not say enough. Everyone stay hydrated & sunscreened up today and have fun!

Happy 4th, Peeps!
Wow - I slept in until almost 10:30 this morning... i haven't done that in, well... I can't remember when! I was sooo tired, been doing too much lately, didn't have anything "timed" that I had to get up for, Eddie was at work at 7, the house was quiet and it felt soooooooo good. I really needed it !
Got up, haven't done a darned thing since. Well, I worked on a web site I just launched for one of the organizations I'm involved in, but that's not exertion in any way.
I will rouse myself shortly to get going, though - need to go to Lowes for a couple of things and Target, maybe too. Then tossing some burgers on the grill for later and nothing much else tonight. It feels SO good to say that!
Maura - I had a really lovely time at the BBQ yesterday. And support group was really nice, too - small group, but sometimes that's a good thing.
Steffi - I'm glad that Molly is starting to adjust better to the camp experience. With patience and love everything is achievable ;-). You guys are doing the right thing.
Pam - where ARE you?
Karen

You guys are tooooo freaking funny - the posts on here wondering where I am...the text messages...sheesh...a girl doesn't post one morning and the FBI is damn near called in. I feel sooooo loved! (but then again..I always feel loved here, so that's not surprising)
The beginning of my shift last night was, dare I say it, QUIET. Which worked out perfectly because my crazy parents who live 2 hours away from the hospital I work at, decided to take a road trip to some caverns in our area...and then ended up looking up the hospital on their GPS and surprising me at work. Got to give them a tour and talk with them for about 1/2 hour. It was awesome!
But then around 2am the "obligatory" holiday drunks started rolling through the door and it got worse from there. The morning was a huge fiasco...with a sad ending to the shift...and by the time I got home I basically just chilled and unwound for a little while. Ate "dinner" took my shower, saw bri for a little bit and went to bed. Didn't sleep phenomenally well, but enough to get me by I'm sure.
Back to work tonight. I need to leave early as I need to pick up some food for work tonight...I just had no desire to have what was left in the house...and didn't have time to cook...so I'll pick up salads and stuff at wawa on my out.
Really really REALLY hoping for a furlough at some point tonight at work...but that is looking like slim and none and slim left town. Oh well. A girl can dream!
Two days off after tonight and sooooo excited!
