Sparkled Sunday Roll Call
I know...Not the best name - but it is early and I am still sleepy.....
I am actually a little surprised that no one started Roll Call yet - Pammy - are you working hard??!! No posts overnight!?!?! Had a terrific Saturday. Services in the morning - Molly did GREAT - her unit was leading services and she seemed to be in a good mood. YAY! Spent the afternoon at Maura's with GREAT people! Thanks again Maura for allowing Copper to join in the festivities! And then back to camp for a fabulous show by the Israeli Friendship Caravan. Always a GREAT activity at camp.
Today has me back to work with the little people. Haven't looked at the schedule - so I am not sure what we will be doing, there will be plenty of water drinking and pool time and LOTS of sunscreen, other than that - not sure. Tonight I think I am heading out of camp to get to the market - running low on things and need to stock up.
That is it for me - I hope you are all enjoying this amazing independence weekend. Mother Nature surely loves the east coast of the US this year! Have a GREAT Sunday!

Good Morning. Glad you had a good time at the cook out. Happy that Molly did well with the service.
Had dinner last night at Loxelys with my home girl LOL. Then we all went to some friends house to sit on their deck and watch Mountville Fire Works which were set off in their back yard practicaly. So all in all a nice day. Today I am working again, and then will be heading to see the 2 pm show of Fultons Production of Phantom of the Opera. I am excited about that.
I hope you all have a great day and enjoy the weekend. We have a nice time harrassing Jason telling him it is our celebration of our indepedence from HIM. He is not amused.

My doc wants 2 weeks of an Atkins diet prior to surgery, thinking of starting this week and doing the whole month. I haven't lost very much pre-op, I feel I need to get into the right mindset if I am going to do this right.

That's a great attitude and the perfect "prep" for post-surgery nutrition... Atkins and South Beach are probably the closest to true "WLS" commercial diets out there, except in portions. So you'll get some good recipe ideas and cooking approaches now that you'll be able to use after the recovery period post-surg.

I am soon headed out to meet an online OH person for the first time. We are meeting for breakfast. she lives in VA, but is only 15 minutes from my house this weekend so we are going to meet up. I am so excited.
Then this afternoon we will be spending at a family picnic at Johnny's niece's house. I am looking forward to a family day of eating, relaxing and enjoying everyone.

Not off to a great start today. Woke up with a mild headache. I haven't been sleeping well, waking up every night around 3am. When I filed my unemployment this morning, I discovered that my benefits have run out. And the government hasn't bothered with any extensions. So, here I sit, with major surgery at the end of the month, a huge deductible for medical claims, a big tax bill due this summer, and no income. I'm trying to figure out if I can get unemployment extended while I'm taking the course for certification in medical coding. Anyone know anything about that?
I'm trying to look on the bright side. I know things always work out, and this situation will too. I'll spend today out in the sun, then tonight is a cook-in-eat-out with our neighbors, which should be fun.
