Firecracker Friday Roll Call
Oh My, it's 5:28 am and NO ONE has posted roll call yet. Wow, I can't beleive I get to do this for the very first time! Anyway, here goes:
The only reason why i am up is my husband's snoring and the ear plugs I wear at night aren't doing the job right now, so I hope to go back to sleep by 6.
I have to work all day, but am so excited because I can have Picnic Food this weekend. It was just 6 weeks ago that I had RNY, and missed out on allt he memorial day celebrations. Of course in small quantities!
The weather is supposed to be great on Saturday and Sunday, so heading to my little pool in the backyard to float on my raft, while Eric, works on Saturday.
Let's hope today goes fast and painless as I like to say and I hope that I did ok with my first roll call!!
Enjoy the holiday weekend and remember all the military around the world.

I like your title better - you get it today! I am going to delete the other one! Happy Friday Ann!
Goooood Morning PA! The sun is just beginning to rise over here in the beautiful Pocono mountains. And there is an amazing chill in the air. Nothing like waking up to a crisp mountain breeze!
I LOVE FRIDAY'S at camp. It means Shabbat at its best! I will be working with the little people this morning. We will be playing outside, having a rabbi talk to and sing with the kids about Noah's Ark and then we will will be making Challah covers to use so beautifully at Shabbat Dinner this evening. This afternoon, Larry will be here so we can celebrate Shabbat together. I think I mentioned this a few weeks ago - but Shabbat at camp is one of THE most beautiful parts about being at a Jewish Camp. The kids dress in white and they climb to the top of the Chapel on the Hill in one VERY long line while they hold hands. It is so beautiful and moving. And the first one of the summer is VERY exciting! This is the one that the kids who are returning campers look forward to - even though they might NOT enjoy services, they like that Shabbat is a special time here at camp. And for the new campers who don't know what to expect, it is so different than any other worship experience they have had.
That is my day - just looking forward to ringing in Shabbat with amazing people and a feeling of awe. I hope your Friday is just as meaningful! Have a GREAT day!

Good Morning Ann, Steffi & Those of you not yet arrived. . .
TGIF, truly, TGIF. . . I had a week that was just sooooo busy, the birthday part was great, but everything since has been crazy, so I am looking forward to this day ending at 3:30, I have to leave here in 5 minutes so I can get to work by 8, where it will be yet another crazy workday, all cylinders on go with a big filing on Wednesday next week, why is it that these things always seem to happen around a holiday. . . oh well, grateful to be employed. . .
After work, we will be heading to the dog park so Roxie can play with all her friends there and it is so much fun watching the dogs play with one another, after that, perhaps I will go to an AA meeting, but the jury is out on that one for now, as I may be able to hit a nooner instead. . . tomorrow I have BARIX 1st Saturday, then off to New York for a family gathering to celebrate my Godson's high school graduation. Sunday and Monday I plan to hang at my friend's pool and just chill out, I certainly need it and the weather sounds like it's going to fully cooperate.
Well folks, Happy 4th of July, wishing you all a safe one and yes, let's remember those of us who are overseas fighting for freedom on unfriendly shores. . .
Hugs, Laureen

Morning PA,
My daughter and I will be driving to DC this morning. I want to be on the road and past Baltimore by noon! My husband and the rest of his family are already down there at his sisters. We look forward to this holiday every year. We have such a great time together. I will be missing my oldest son and his family as they just started their new journey for the next three years in Japan. He's in the Navy. They just left on Monday. Saying good bye to him and his wife, I was ok with. But as soon as I grabbed my little Sweet Pea, Lorelai, she's 14 mos., I started to cry. I miss them so already! The weather should be lovely all weekend. Y'all have a great day and a fabulous weekend. Cyd

Good MOrning Ann & PA:
We are officially on Vacation This is the first vacation we have taken since 2007......
We are just about ready to pull out. Have to put the bag on the Harley, pack the saddle bags and we are off, heading to Maine then crossing over into New Bruswick, Canada where we will travel south on the Canadian side and then cross back into the US on the Maine coast. We should make it all the way up to Van Buren Maine by evening, not sure if we'll be staying in Maine tonight or will get across the border.
Hope everyone has an awesome July 4th.

Good morning all - Ann, please be careful with the picnic food at only 6 weeks out - your pouch is still very sensitive and you don't want to end up with foamies or dumping at the picnic - avoid breads and pasta since they tend to swell and can really cause a new pouch a lot of grief!! Don't mean to scare you, but I want you to be able to have a good time and really enjoy yourself - hopefully there will be a lot of protein to pick from (chicken on the grill??) - have a great time.
I'm at work - going to be a quiet day - just me and the guys today - hopefully we'll close the office early and I can get out of here this afternoon at a decent time.
My step-daughter and her family arrived late last night from Georgia - they're up for the holiday weekend. Sunday is our big family party so they're all excited about that. Me too - have the food ordered and everything is ready to go.
Not much new from me today - just work - hopefully will get a chance to post this weekend but with company all around you just never know. Tomorrow morning I'm going for my full blood work-up - missed my 2 year timing due to mom's passing so this is something I really need to get done. Once I have that I'll make an appt with Dr Boe to catch up and check in.
Hope everyone has a Fantastic Fourth!!
