Ok, so if you're not into TMI, stop reading and close the post right now

Yesterday I started with some intestinal difficulties.  I'm not willing to call it prissy pouch because my pouch is just fine...but whenever I ate ANYTHING, it seemed to be going through me quite quickly.  I made multiple trips to the bathroom yesterday with some fairly loose stools.  Didn't think much of it.

Well, this morning...it is absolutely NO better and is down right diarrhea when I do go.  I'm replacing fluids...and am not in any pain (except for the cramping right before hand of course) and feel otherwise FINE.

I'm willing to deal with it while I'm at home today, no big deal.

But tonight at work...that's a totally different story.

Sooooo...can we take something like Immodium?  I was thinking of taking a dose before work if it's still acting up.

Yay, I get to help our nursey for a change!!!  I just looked on the list of meds Barix gave me at discharge, and it says that Immodium can be taken.  It says liquid is preferred.

Hope this helps and you feel better!!!

Awesome Julia, thanks soooo much!  I don't have the barix list anymore...and am normally pretty good with knowing what is in what but this one had me stumped!

If I'm still running back and forth by 5pm tonight I'll take a dose.  I'll have to run to the store for it - didn't even KNOW it came in liquid form, lol.  But I don't have the pills at home either, so either way, I'm stopping at the store it looks like!  (they have a bathroom there, lol)

I've taken it before, and since I only had the pill form of it, I chewed them. Not the tastiest pill in the world, but still not as bad as when I had to chew Levaquin!

I hope you feel better.

chewing anything just grosses me out!  Either way I need to go to the store for it...but I can guarantee I'd be making a special trip out (or sending hubby for it) if it meant a choice between using the liquid or chewing a tablet.  Blech blech blech!

Pam I have used Immodium tablets without any problem. They are tiny!

I'm gonna bet the liquid is preferred due to absorption and effective issues, not size issues, but thanks!
