Another "outing"?
So...I saw something on, believe it or not, a wedding show yesterday.
There is a trapeeze school - they have a few different sites - one of which is in NYC, apparantly a few blocks from Penn Station.
They do regular classes, birthday parties, and "team building" work shops. (think like a ropes course, only with a trapeze)
I've emailed them to try to get prices and what not. It looks like you definately get to swing on a trapeze, learn how to flip your legs over the bar, and for those with "advanced" skills (or who do well with the first lesson I guess?) even get to do a "catch" with a professional trapeze artist.
It looks sooooo fun...and scary as hell at the same time.
In my email, I told them about our "group" and how we like to do different outings etc., and WHY (weight loss, healtheir life style, pushing our limits and breaking through previous fears) If we have more than ten people, you get to "add" one activity for every 10 people...they do things like a rope course, juggling, stilt walking...there's lots of choices.
Sound interesting to anyone else?! I was thinking maybe mid to late fall - we have the outing in September...so maybe October or November? And then an evening out in the city?

Their videos are outside....but the website looked like they had an indoor place...I'll find out from the email, I'm sure. I asked for prices, any weight restrictions..I forgot age restrictions but when they respond I'll ask them that if they don't already answer it automatically. If they DON'T have an indoor area...we may have to wait until next spring, because I think it might be a bit to chilly for us to be swining in the streets of NYC in October or November....
Who's game?!

Yes, I've heard of it in Baltimore as well (although their website doesn't mention it?...I thought it was the same company) Actually - when Bri and I went down there a year or two ago...we saw them, they were set up in the inner harbor...looked freaking awesome!
I'll update when I have more info from the company....

"who said that? me?" OMG - I just spit my crystal lite right out! Absolutely hysterical! Glad that, thanks to fear factor people, or maybe just a missing piece of "filter" that goes from your brain to your mouth to filter stuff like that from slipping out, we can count you in!
