Newbie w/surgery date!!!
Hello all,
I'm normally a lurker to this forum. Love it! Have learned quit a bit so far. Today I got the best news ever, I finally got insurance clearance AND a surgery date, July 28th!! YEAH! I am so excited and nervous at the same time. Just wanted to thank all of you regulars for posting. I've learned a lot in the past few months and look forward to reading this forum every day that I can. Now I just have to figure out how to post a few "before" pics.

Hey Cyd, welcome to the loser bench - (almost, anyway!) - I am 2 months out from my surgery so I still consider myself a newbie too. This is a great place for encouragement and questions after surgery - don't hesitate to ask. There will be somebody somewhere on this board who will be glad to chat with you about anything that's concerning you - good luck, and remember there are many of us who have been through the same thing!

Hi Cyd - I am so glad that you came out of lurkdom to introduce yourself to us! So very excited for you as you begin this journey! July 28th will be here before you know it and you will be joining an amazing group of women and men on the loser's bench. Sadly, I am challenged to figure out the whole picture thing on here - but that is why I count on my techie friends to help out!

Congratulations on your upcoming surgery - yes, it is an amazing journey and the people on this board are going to become a huge part of it - I know so much of my success has been because of the amazing people out here so please - no more lurking - come join us - we're a fun bunch!!

Glad you stopped lurking. That was me for quite a few weeks. I'm really glad I stepped forward. The people here are wonderful and like Karen said, for me, they are like an extended family. The support group in Langhorn is amazing too. I'm just out 6 weeks last Tuesday. I'm so glad I did it and I'm sure you will be too. So many good things in just 6 weeks. I'm excited about the future, probably for the first time in my life.
