Good morning, everyone!

What a gorgeous morning out there - So nice to walk out the door and not be hit with a warm blanket of humid air.

As posted elsewhere, I got my butt to the gym this morning and did a nice weight workout.  I was especially proud that I got there and rocked it because I was up about an hour and a half in the middle of the night because my mom was sick.  She called my phone at 2 am to tell me she was sick and ask me to come to her room - she was afraid she'd pass out and hit her head without anyone knowing and wanted me to sit with her while she threw up and had diarrhea.  Oh joy.  I know she did it for me as a kid, but BOY was it tough.  So I was wiped this morning... but the workout felt good and gave me energy to get through today.

I'm at work all day, then heading to get my much-needed hair cut.  On the way, I plan to stop at one of the thrift stores to see if I can supplement my inventory of shorts and Ts for Disney...  T minus 10 days and counting!!!!  Yay!

Thank goodness she had the wits about her to call you over - I can't remember how many times I picked my mom up off the floor because she thought she could make it to her bathroom - or she'd make it TO the bathroom but not the potty and then I had that to clean up. It is tough and I am amazed at how I could handle it and not have it bother me (the clean-up part), but we love them and do what we have to do.

Yeah, trust me, a ringing phone beats a loud BANG during the night anytime!! LOL!!

TOO true, Kathy!  The irony is that this is same woman who about a year ago woke me at 3 am to tell me that she'd been having chest pains for 4 HOURS and had been trying to "walk them off."  Sigh... there's no winning ;-).

Well, we know they don't want to be a burden but it happens and its not their fault - my mother said that one day and my husband said 'Phyllis, it is a burden, but you're not - and its not your fault and we'll deal with it' - it can be absolutely exhausting at times, tho. Hang in there!

Good afternoon all....sorry that I was not able to post - actually I am sorry for myself - i look foward to this EVERY day.  The internet is not up and running in my room, not sure what that is all about.  Started late last night and is still out - had to go find a place where it is working!  Was having withdrawal issues.......and we ALL know about those!

Had a good morning so far today, had the first day of the camp for the little people as I like to call them.  We played in and out of the building today, went for a nature hike, chased and was chased by said little people, and then filled up the little pools for the kids.  They served perogies for lunch, so I went to my room, ate an entire salami and cheese sandwich on a sandwich round and had some (probably too many) tortilla chips with it and boy was my pouch NOT happy for about an hour.  I am starting to feel better now - and dare I say, even a little hungry!  Oh well....I think dinner is also something pasta like, so I will eat the chicken that I brought.  I finally got a menu for the week, I may need to go back out to the market shortly!  Oh well...

Oh - I showed my album of my first year progress to some of the faculty here (faculty are rabbi's, cantor's and educators that teach judaism to the campers) and while many of them were oohing and ahing, one rabbi said, WOW - that surgery and its process is VERY hard work!  I thanked him profusely for understanding and he looked at me with a look on his face that I read as "well, duh - why are you thanking me for something so true?!?!"  It is truly amazing to be surrounded by people *****alize the struggle and make it even easier for me!  I am REALLY blessed!

The rest of my day will consist of taking the kids to the Art Shack for a mask making project and then off to the pool where the pool director told me yesterday - without any asking, that she would have a lap lane ready for me to do laps!  AMAZING PEOPLE!!!!!  I really am one lucky girl!

The weather is PERFECT here in the pocono's today!  Hope it is as nice where you all are! :)
