****Wicked Wednesday Roll Call****

Good Morning PA,
I chose the word wicked, because it describes my weird thinking these days.  Hmmm. Weird also begins with a W.  Maybe next week.

Wednesday has me laying low, doing some tidying, and working on a project for my daughter's birthday in July.  I have my iron IV infusion in the afternoon, and I want to visit my daughter and the kids at her other grandmother's to drop off an early birthday gift for her and to see my grandchildren in the pool.  I am also going to get my butt to an AA meeting.

On a personal note, I am having a rough time with my emotions, and it is spilling over into my eating and some other behaviors.  I saw my psychiatrist today, and I see my therapist on Thursday.

I may even get to the support group at Barix on Saturday, because I am truly not doing anything for once.  My grandchildren are supposed to go back to Michigan at the end of the week.

Have a great day.

Trish

Morning Trish.. make sure to ask about that coffee IV when you go in for your iron today.

Last night instead of going to the gym, I went to one of the local Good Will shops.  I got a comforter and a duffle bag for Siehara for camp.  I also got an end table for my living room, 4 pics for my living room wall and a bathing suit for me, 2 pairs of shorts and a skirt for Siehara.... grand total $50---the comforter alone probably cost more than 1/2 of that in a regular store.   Gotta love a good deal!!

Today has me working the camp shift, then picking up Siehara and my friend's 3 boys and bringing them back home.   While we are waiting for their mom to come, I will get them snacks and make dinner.  I have a nice beef roast ready to go.  I am going to marinate it this morning and pop it in on a slow roast... yummmmmm

Tonight, Siehara has her final med check before camp.  She is doing well and I think her meds can stay the same.  I have to pick up the prescriptions for her meds so I can send them off to the mail order company who sends blister packs to camp for dispensing.

That's about it for us.  Home to relax after the appointment.   I hope everyone has a great day! It seems like it's going to be a nice one again.

Up ahead of the family today...it's actually a little chilly this morning in Michigan!

Baby North had his first pediatrician visit yesterday and as his dad says, "passed all quality assurance tests." Great news! Sarah is doing well but tired. I'm glad I'm here to help with all the "infrastructure" of cooking, cleaning, laundry, and the girls.

Speaking of cooking, had a disaster yesterday on, of all things, chicken noodle soup (from scratch). I KNEW not to put the noodles in early, but the recipe said to do that. So I figured I'd follow directions for once. What a mess. Down the disposal....trying again today. The goal is to leave them with 3-4 meals minimum for next week.

Yesterday I took the girls to play at the pool. The goal is to have one activity a day that wears them out!

Took a little personal time to go to Costco and browse a bit. Hope all of you are well in PA this fine day!

TWO responses thus far?  C'mon pa, where the heck are you?!

Had a GREAT day with Brian yesterday (ok...I had a great afternoon/evening with Brian..it started out kinda rocky....)

And.....I'm bright eyed and bushy tailed (for now), although I can't say that's how my day started out.

I got up at quarter after crap, I mean, four in the morning.  Yes, on purpose.  Set the alarm and everything.  Had to get to the gym to do weights and then spin..more on that when I post the exercise thread.

Finishing up on here..waking up hubby, taking a shower, getting dressed and heading to hershey park for the day!!!  I absolutely positively cannot wait!  I"m SURE the lines are gonna be ridiculous thanks to the lovely weather (the reference to the lovely weather is NOT a dig nor sarcastic, by the way) but we plan on getting there close to opening and staying until closing assuming I don't peter out.  I haven't been to Hershey in probably over 10 years, and Brian has never been...so this will be soooo cool!!!

That's really it...a two hour ride there....a 10 hour walk in the park...and a two hour ride home.

Soooo excited!

Oh have fun! Holler across the river because I am only 45 minutes from there!

Johnny took the kids and I there last month, we always have a blast. We hope to go again soon. Next year.......I am investing in season passes. My dad used to always buy them for us for christmas but since he passed 4 years ago, we haven't had them. I think it's time to start that tradition back up. My Boys LOVE it and it's a great way to spend the summer. Especially with the Boardwalk they built.

When life hands you lemons, ask for tequila & salt and give me a call!

Good morning all - hang in there, Trish - I know your days with the munchkins are limited now so try to relax and enjoy every moment you can with them.

It is a beautiful morning - on the way up Route 202 this morning there was a hot air balloon flying overhead - it came down so low I could see the flames shooting into the balloon and the people riding in it!! WAY COOL!! I think I could do that now - I'm not afraid of heights and it looked awesome. Not sure I could convince hubby to partake but it is something I could really enjoy.

We're anxiously awaiting the arrival of one of my step-daughters and her husband and daughter (oh, and Cupcake, the kitten!) - they should be here sometime tomorrow evening. I got stuff out this morning to make a big pot of spaghetti - it's easy and who doesn't love spaghetti? I'll make some Dreamfields pasta for myself. Also prepping for our big family party on Sunday - hopefully everything goes off without a hitch.

As for today not much new - at work, running some errands at lunch, making my sauce tonight - and that's about it.

Hope everyone has a great day!

Kathy

For my Aunt's 50th birthday my mom got a Hot Air Ballon ride for the two of them. They had a blast doing it and makes me think maybe I will add it to my "bucket list". In return for my mom's 50th my aunt got her a helicopter ride.

You know, I've never had a 'bucket list' because I was always afraid to try so many things due to being so large, but now I think I just might have to start one - and I think a hot air balloon ride will be the first thing on it! Helicopter? Not so much - LOL!!

Glad you treated yourself to getting your nails done - I go every few weeks - it was one thing I started doing for myself when I quit smoking 20+ years ago, and I never regretted it. Once in a great while I will take them off myself for a few days just to give my nails a breather but otherwise I get them done. I love the pink & whites - they last - they're strong - they don't chip or discolor. And it's 'ME' time!

Kathy I had mone on for years as well and what happen was we became vry good friends with the owners. (I know all the bad Veitmese words) but because of that whiel I adore them it was ok to make us wait and take time. Well I just do not have 2 or 3 hours every 2 or 3 weeks to get my nails done. Hell we used to go on a Friday or Saturday night and make it a party. So I just took them off but I was missing my hands looking "done" all the time.

I ended up going to a place right down the street from my house it was relaxing and new set took the girl 45 minutes. That I can handle!
