First off, adderall - yes - it can cause weight LOSS and decreased appetite.  Because it's a stimulant, some people find that their appetite decreases.

Force feeding...nope  I personally don't believe in that.  But that's just my humble opinion.

We were NOT given to many options when it came to meals, especially dinner.  You ate what was cooked, if not, you didn't eat and you also didn't eat a snack.  Well, actually, we weren't allowed anything to eat after dinner period.  If we chose not to eat, our plates would be put away, and if we decided we did, in fact, want to eat dinner, we had to go get our plates out ourselves etc.  (doesn't seem like a big deal, but for a five year old who has to drag a chair over to the hutch and climb up to get the plate etc...it was a big deal)  My brothers were TERRIBLE eaters.  My one brother is pretty good now.  The other one....he's still terrible.  Actually, much like Brian..no fruits no veggies blah blah blah.  (he even went through a phase where he didn't like PIZZA...unless the slices were cut in half.  He said he couldn't eat a "whole" slice...but could eat 4 half slices...ah, kids...)

Graham crackers....not an absolute terrible choice...especially if you can put something like peanut butter on it or whatever.

Definately keep track of how long these "phases" are....I think all kids go through it at some point.  The weight loss is slightly concerning...but if she's peeing normally and has a normal activity level, and her mouth and lips aren't cracking etc, she's probably ok.  Do NOT make a big deal of weighing her frequently, especially at home.

I was also gonna suggest like others, to see if she'll drink an occassional pediasure or something.  Even the pedialyte ice pops they have....she might think it's a "treat" or something like that.

And most of all...hugs hugs hugs.  Hang in there!
Instead of complaining that the rosebush has thorns, be happy that the thorn bush has roses.
