****Freaky Friday Roll Call****
Good Morning Trish, and Pa,
More of the same today I fear, still two out of three grand children ill. Hope this passes today, and that the third one doesn't catch it, so we can take them and do something with them over the weekend. My life is just so exciting at times. Have a good day all, keep cool.
Hugs Ena

Good morning Trish and PA,
I'm so excited because I'm going camping in an RV to Knoebel's - YAY! My son-in-law had to work, so I'm taking his place. I'm picking up my daughter and grandson this afternoon and we're meeting my granddaughter and her grandparents there since they're leaving this morning. I can't wait to get away and have some fun, ride the rides, and spend time with my daughter, grandchildren and friends.
Have a wonderful weekend everyone! See you on Monday.

Morning all!!!
Busy day today. I have to get my photo done for my driver's license (sooo glad to finally have one with the new me on it!!), then we're meeting a friend for breakfast. We need to run a bunch of errands---pick up the mail at the post office, pick up some library books that are on hold, pick up some groceries. And we need to head back to the beach. I want to stop at one of our favorite discount grocery stores in Dover so I can pick up some xylitol to try in baking. (Want to make my birthday cake but not kill everyone's GI system, so I'm hoping xylitol is a little easier on the gut. lol)
I had my 1 year with my surgeon yesterday, and she was pleased. I have to go back in 6 months, but I think that's because she wants to check my levels and progress after my hysterectomy. One of the girls gave me the script for bloodwork but didn't put cholesterol on it, so I'll have to call for a new script. Oh joy.
Have a great day, everyone!!!

Good Morning Trish, My PA peeps,
Wishing you all a wonderful Friday and Trish I hope you thoroughly enjoy those Munchkins, at least they are not the fattening kind ;). . .
Anyway, I am thrilled to see this workweek come to an end, it's been a bear and today when I get there I am sure to find more of the same that has made this week disappear into a blurr, due to the fact that we have a case scheduled to file in bankruptcy court on Monday, I just hope I don't have to work this weekend, because I am sooo looking forward to sitting by my friend Diane's pool, actually in her pool would be more like it. . . . anyway, what will be, will be and suffice it to say I am just plain old happy that it is Friday!
Wishing everyone here a wonderful day, a super weekend and for anyone facing serious life challenges, I wish you the peace and strength necessary to get through whatever it is you are facing.
Hugs, Laureen

Good Mornin from the State of Delaware...
I've been in lurker mode again, reading and sharing with everyone's successes and struggles. I have been going through more than a few of each of those over the last few months myself. I had the revision of my hip replacement in March and thankfully almost completely recovered from that. I'm walking good and am off the cane for support, but have a couple of issues with residual scar tissue that we are working through ... but everything should be fine.
Then of course 2 weeks ago I had a shoulder arthroscopy done on my left shoulder. Things are good there and I'm currently in PT to get range of motion back. Who would believe that only a year ago that I would be going through a series of surgeries that would essentially save my life. With the shoulder surgery that make 4 major surgical procedures in the course of a year. Let's hope the shoulder was the last one for a very, very long time (plastics non-withstanding of course).
As of right now I'm hoping to make the Barix 1st Saturday Support group meeting and the picnic afterward (if Maura doesn't mind me tagging along) as well as the cooking class at Liz's on the 17th. Amelia is a beauty and I can't wait to meet her and everyone else.
As for today, I have my yearly physical with my PCP is about 45 minutes .... which I'm dreading because in all the years that I've seen with her she has done nothing to really manage my care... but I need to get it done. Right after that appointment is PT for my shoulder, the home to make a few phone calls and to get some housework done. At some point today I need to order my tickets for the opening of the next Twilight Saga movie ... coming out next Wednesday.
Everyone have a great day and a wonderful weekend. I hear it's going to continue to be a scorcher... so everyone stay hydrated.
Here's to staying more active on the boards....

Good Morning All!! Today has me doing the last of the packing, some baking and cleaning as Mia's sleep schedule permits. Oh and I have to pick the first of the zucchini from the garden to take with us! We leave tomorrow late morning for a week in LBI. I can't wait!! It's my Mom's whole family, there are 16 of us. So if you don't see me around for a while that's why. There is internet access in the house but it is wired (how primative! lol) so I don't know how much I'll be on. You can always get me via cell if needed.
HAve a great weekend and week!
HAve a great weekend and week!
Good morning all - I'm at work - might be a strange day - most of our people were without power all night, and several other office locations are still without power so I'm getting a lot of calls to see if people can come in and squat for the day. We don't have much extra space but we'll make do.
Don't know if you guys experienced those horrible storms yesterday - took us a long time to get home but thankfully we didn't lose power or anything.
Not much on my agenda today - work, home, start my cleaning. Bloodwork tomorrow - never got my 2 year surgiversary bloodwork for Dr Boe because that's when my mom was in the hospital and I was going thru all that, so FINALLY getting around to getting all that done. Then I might make an appt to go see old blue eyes - just to check in and say hello!
That's it for me - hope everyone has a great day - GO PHILS!
