"8" day pouch test day 4
Ok...so like I said yesterday..I was self extending the pouch test..just because I was doing OK on it.
That means my schedule looks like this:
Monday: Full Liquids (COMPLETE)
Tuesday: Full Liquids (COMPLETE)
Wednesday: Soft protein (COMPLETE)
Thursday: Soft protein (COMPLETE)
Friday: Ground protein
Saturday: Ground protein
Sunday: Firm protein
Monday: Firm protein
So...update on Thursday...I went to the gym and did my 45 minute spin class as planned. It was a good workout - not QUITE as good as the day before...I just didn't get that euphoric endorphin rush that I did the day before. The instructor was my second fav instructor and she was rocking it but good!
Anyway - food wise. Directly after the gym I was absolutely starving and had gotten a massive headache (I was beyond well hydrated, so I know that wasn't it) so I drank my protein shake on the way home, and then had some of the sf ice cream I made.
Got up before work...long story...I only slept 3 hours and felt FANTASTIC when I got up, so I decided to NOT go back to bed. Ugh. Had some egg salad and such. Got to work and ate my greek yogurt. Then, got KILLED at work...ended up grabbing a protein drink in between trauma patients just to get by. I was starving, shaky...not good.
And it continued that way until 3am. I had the protein shake at 9pm...so obviously 3 am was a bit longer (note the sarcasm) it should've been to eat. One of the girls at work got a chicken and cheese quesadilla - grilled - from the cafeteria and literally came into the room I was in and shoved a piece of it in my mouth. I very GLADLY took it....and ended up eating two pieces of it. Ok..it was a white tortilla and carby..but it was also chicken and cheese after 6 hours of not eating anything.......whatever.
Afterwards I have gotten back on track...ate my other foods (except the egg salad) I had brought...and actually have rocked the fluids big time in the past few days.
Start ground meats today.....and have some buffalo chicken burgers all set for THAT!!! Wahoo!!
I always think it's because I get all proud of myself for "cleansing the temple" and sticking to the plan. Hubby says I get so happy I'm annoying Enjoy your burger and have a great weekend! Keep crackin the fluids, it's gonna be another hot one!
