***Thirsty Thursday Roll Call***
GOod Morning all. We are spending the day at home today packing for vacation. Amelia got her shot yesterday and has been fussy all night and this morning. SHe is only happy when being held. Needless to say I didn't get much sleep so that she could. A nap WILL be in order later. I want to try and get everything together for vacation today and make a few things to take with us (cookies, a banana bread and a zucchini bread). I also need to plant some basil plants in my garden but it is just too darn hot! I think this morning when Chris gets up i'll hand off Amelia and go out to plant quick.

Morning Trish & All the Rest of you early PA posters, as well as those not here yet. . .
Last night I went to my son's and got a dose of my sweet grandchildren, Vaughn (5) and Avery (3), what a delight they are, also had a nice dinner my DIL put together, grilled chicken, with grilled asparagus, corn on the cob and some kind of slaw made with the special sauce that you make separate and put over the grilled chicken and slaw, it was a yummy dinner, followed by some watermelon. . . sorry if I made anyone hungry (lol). . .
Anyway, it's just another work day and I've been up a while, petted, fed and walked the Roxie girl, checked on the vegetables growing out back and now it's time for a shower and getting myself out the door. . .

Trish I know what you are saying about lukewarm water, if its not got ice in it, my pouch says no way no matter how thirsty I am.
Arrived back home in Md with daughter and grandchildren at 9pm from Tenn trip. It back to work for daughter Lisa tonite, which means Mom Mom in charge of the 3 young ones. It will be a long nite as Deliah who just turned one, has fever and runny nose, 7 year old Chloe has fever and has been tossing cookies early this AM. Eli,5 years old seems to be ok for the moment. We will at least be lucky enough to be staying at home in the AC. Have to go rescue the kids pet kitties from the sitters. Having been with six dogs for the week they will be all skinny from running and hiding from them. Maybe will get to the mall sometime during the day to do some walking. I really have to do something about joining a gym, it is difficult when I am in Md. part of the week, and Pa the other part of the week. I did buy a bike to ride around the development in Md, but that won't happen today. There will be a trip to the craft store, I am embroidering a quilt top, which I guess I bought in a weak moment, as someone else will have to do the quilt work, but I have run out of one color of thread, at least it will keep me busy when stuck home with little ones. Morning everyone!
This morning I am back at work again till 6pm. The day is starting off really screwy and I cannot see it getting any better the way it's looking. Time will tell. Well, seeing that it's quarter after nine and I started this post about an hour ago, it's definitely not any better. The three of us that are working dayshift now all have cases we are working on that just came in. All screwy stuff too.
The only advantage is that it makes this day go quicker.
After work plans are completely up in the air. We were supposed to get together with my dad tonight but when I talked to him last night, I think he was laying the groundwork for cancelling on us. Not sure yet, but time will tell. If we don't do that, we will probably take the girls to the local fair that is going on this week. Some kiddie rides, animals, lots of fun stuff for them to do.
Besides all that, there isn't much going on. Absolutely praying for a peaceful bedtime tonight. The past week or so, the girls have been little pain in the butts at bedtime. It's never a good time, but the past week has been awful. Generally bedtime is my job when I'm home and I have been completely and totally frustrated by their antics and complete lack of cooperation. It is so out of character for Hannah, Ryleigh however is always this much fun. Other than that, just more getting ready for the shore.
Oh and let me add that I was awakened for a fire call last night, apparently sat on my glasses on the way to the station and not only bent them, but realized this morning that I popped a lense out too. Despite all of this, I am having a good day. Hope everyone else does too....
