***Thirsty Thursday Roll Call***
Wednesday had me out of my apartment from 6:45 till 6:30. To make it more brutal, my mother's car's air conditioner stopped working in the middle of one of my drives today. I finally took my car. I was driving my sister to three different doctor appointments, as she is one week post-op from her lap-band surgery.
Thursday has me tidying now that I am done the dress I was working on. I am also supposed to go to Princton Junction to Wegman's with my mother and sister. Not sure that is happening, given the heat and the way I felt throughout Wednesday. My pouch does not like lukewarm water, and the heat was making me queasy.
My daughter and the Munchkins are coming back as well. They were in Maine for a week, visiting friends and family.
Have a good day. Keep well hydrated.
Hugs,
Trish

I also need to try and call the doctor as I am developing a rash in some areas where loose skin is now rubbing. I hope they can see me tonight as I am not sure the Florida weather will improve the rash, lol.
So, I am guessing today is going to be pretty busy. Hope everyone has a good one!
Sorry about the septic thing...that just plain ol sucks!

Morning Trish....
It's been an interesting night here in the ER....that's all I'm gonna say cause I'm superstitious.
I did actually get to step outside for a brief moment around 1:30..and it was just warm enough to not be uncomfortable. There was a wonderfully soothing warm breeze on the back of my neck....it wasn't unbearably hot thanks to the sun not being out, lol...and it was just nice. Oh, the quietness of the night helped too. Ok..enough poetic-ness from me.
Might have to stay for a meeting today...not to sure. Gonna try to weasel my way outta that one, believe you me! If I don't stay for the meeting...it'll be another gym day for me.
Then home, pack up food, shower and bed. THRILLING THRILLING THRILLING I tell you! Back at CC tonight!

Am up early to get my butt moving - riding the bike this morning - my back hurts from an ab routine earlier in the week - effective, but am paying for it.
I am off to work after that and am leaving early for my 6 month checkup with Doctor P. 6 months and a total of 80 lost, I'm pretty damn happy with that progress.
Not looking forward to the workday, had to work late 2 hours of my first day on the new project that I just got assigned to - that's why I'm up early, so I take care of me this morning and go in later this morning. I will take care of me first!
oh - by the way, I forgot to post that my mom is actually doing well and doing her excercises - I was worried that after OT/PT stopped that she would slip.. but I'm giving her a good report (and so is my dad) which is encouraging..
well - that's all tis mornin... gotta get a move on!
xoxo,
Maura
Going to be a long day today. At work a committe I am involved with will be hosting a reception tonight at St. Joseph's University. I'll be there from 2 till about 8 or so. The actual reception is from 5:50 to 7:30 or 8. I will be packing a lot of very conscious choices for food today. I already know the menu for tonight so there will be just about nothing on there that will agree with my pouch.
Other than that work today 7:30 till I leave for the reception.
After the reception I'll be so tired I know I'll come home and drop right into bed.
No gym for me today - I will miss that and my treadmill.
Hope everyone has a great day...

Yesterday's work outing was pretty nice. I did see one person who hasn't seen me since before surgery. I went over to her and said hi to her and she was looking at me like I looked familiar, but she had to look at my name tag to see who I really was. That was nice.. really nice! I was disappointed that this farm that makes their own ice cream did NOT have a sugar free option. I even asked to see if they had something that wasn't up on their board. Oh well. I brought some chocolate flavored ricotta with me just in case, so I had that... better option anyway. My food during the picnic was good.
After a bunch of us went out to a bar/restaurant to hang. I had unsweetened ice tea and ordered an ahi tuna plate that looked pretty harmless. It was good and I was satisfied.. but did I stop there? No, the girl next to me ordered wings and fries. I was good about the wings, but those fries looked soooo good. I figured I would just have one or two.. yeah ok.. tell that to the addict brain. I kept reaching into those little buggers. I think the worst part about it is that I did NOT get sick.. why the hell didn't I dump on them?!?!?! At night, I ate part of a chicken quesadilla for dinner and was done for the night.
Today, I am going to be really serious about my food choices. The nutritionist from the new surgeon called me and I have an appointment on Tuesday. She wants to see 3 days of food journals, so I am going to start today because it is much easier to do on a week day then when I am busy running around on the weekend.
OKAY.. enough rambling... work til 3:30
dinner
ZUMBA! and pilates at the gym

We'll be running up from the beach today for my 1 year appointment with Dr. P. Janet, my surgery buddy, has her 1 year right after mine, so it will be great to see her. (Our appointments were to be 2 weeks ago, but Dr P had to reschedule. Lucky we could schedule together again so we can catch up.)
We'll stay at my house tonight so we can take care of a bunch of stuff tomorrow. I need to get my new driver's license (so happy I won't have to pull out that old pudgy photo anymore!!!), pick up the mail, pick up a book at the library so Anson can start his summer reading for school. We'll head back to the beach after we take care of the errands tomorrow.
Have a great day, everyone!!! Stay in the AC as much as possible!!
