I wasn't on the boards much yesterday so I am just catching up on some of the posts.

CONGRATS on the new position! Less stress and more money are always a good thing.

Hang in there with your mom.  Like others have said, many times breast cancer is completely treatable.  I hope she falls into the group who can.

Again, as others said.. chocolate protein bars and pudding.. how about sf fudgsicles.. yummy!

GOOD for you for coming to us for support instead of stuffing your face.  That is what we are here for.

Sandra,

     Sorry to hear about your mom.  I know that I tend to think the worst whenever I hear the word cancer but there are so many long term survivors out there - hopefully she caught it early.  Will keep you and the family in my prayers.

     Congratulations on the new job and more money.  Also kudos on reaching out to the board when you thought the stress was going to pull you down.  You seem like a very positive person and I am looking forward to meeting you at Liz's cooking class in July.

Sandra - congrats on the job. Keep the faith - breast cancer is a tough diagnosis, but there are plenty of people who beat it.

Sandra,
You know what I admire about you? Your ability to look at life as "the glass is half full" perspective. I have to say you are handling this AMAZINGLY well. I would be wanting everything in sight as well as chocolate. I will say a prayer for your mother but something tells me that she is a fighter if she is anything like her daughter. {{{Hugs}}}

People comment on my over 100 pound weight loss and attribute it to my WILLpower, but it is my WANTpower: I WANT to be thin and healthy more than anything else!

first the bad because I am looking at rainbows here breast cancer they have come so far as treatment goes so my thoughts, heart and love goes out to both you and your mom.  The bad again is we have OPTIONS for what we should not eat to make it what we can eat.  Chocolate protein bars, shakes, sugar free (watch those alcohols) so we do have options exercise them and the good is I congradulate you on your new position that is truely wonderul to see all of your hard work reconized.  I wish you well with all of it.  Me I do McDonalds sf large vanilla iced coffee and am satisfied.
