Pouch day THREE

First of all...was there not an exercise post for Wednesday?  That's what I came looking for!  I just wanted to say that I went to the gym yesterday even though I was exhausted and had no motivation to do so....went into the spin classroom...

To find the AC was broke in the room.  It was literally 85 degrees in the room BEFORE we started.  And, as a class, we opted to go for it.  I worked my A$$ off for the 45 mins I was there.  GRanted, I had to tone down the intensity that I NORMALLY go with due to the heat...but holy crap what a work out.  I really felt FANTASTIC when it was done.

Ok...day three...soft proteins...eggs, ricotta cheese and such.

Theoretically I was supposed to start when I got up on Wednesday evening...but I started Wednesday morning after the gym...was really hungry.

I made myself a fritatta with eggs and cheese...had some after the gym, and brought the rest to work.

I stuck *mostly* to plan.  I will admit I had a handful of hard pretzels while at work.  It was an instant gratification thing, and I will admit I feel guilty about it, but I understand that I will not be perfect in EVERYTHING and I refuse to allow that move to derail the rest of the week.

Anyway - I actually liked softs a LOT...and have decided to extend the pouch test by doing 2 days of EACH stage...so I'm gonna do softs again today and move onto things like ground meat on Friday instead of Thursday.

Then I'll do ground meats on Fri & Sat and move to regular or solid protien on Sunday.  That will also "complete" my work week, so that'll be nice.

Planning on going to the gym today after work for another spin class.  The only thing that might derail that is if I have to stay for a meeting today. If that happens, I'll get some stuff in at home and will do another hard formal work out on Friday morning.  We shall see.

Thanks - the interest that has been shown and the encouraging talk is PHENOMENAL to me and VERY VERY VERY much appreciated!!!

Check you out extending it on your own!  You go girl!  Don't beat yourself up over the pretzel - I mean, you have a little hand don't you?

Hoping you get to kick it in spin class and feel fantastic again!

Keep up the good work Pam!!  I'm sure I'll need a 5DPT cheerleader one of these days too!!!

xoxo,

You're doing great!! And think of the pretzels as a good thing you ate - the salt will help keep you from dehydrating in this heat (well, it sounded good in my head). Anyway who said you had to be perfect? Who of us are?? When I did my 10 day liquid diet for Dr Boe I broke down one night and ate the noodles out of my soup - God didn't strike me dead!

I didn't work out last night - my body was TIRED - but I will be back on the bike tonight and I have been eating better this week - trying to up my proteins - back off on the carbs - and just generally eat healthier. Last night I made this awesome salsa chicken salad and made big salads for DH and I - lettuce, hb egg, chicken salad (and beets for me) - YUM. Thank god my DH is an easy keeper - he loved it and said I can make that anytime, which is great for summer because there is NO cooking involved!

So you keep on going, girlie - you're doing great - don't beat yourself up over the pretzels - small potatoes in the big scheme of things.

Pam - good for you for hanging out to spin in the room with no A/C. I would have immediately bailed.

Keep up the good work.

I have to say that yesterdays class was BY FAR one of the most rewarding classes and work outs I have done in a really really long time...it was completely awesome!
