I went back and re-read a lot this weekend.
Need to renew my committment to myself.

Many of you have helped me tremendously and I had to come back
for the support, experience, advice, idea's, recipe's and know
that I am not alone!

Kate just posted something that hit home from me - she said the world ALONE - and when you're on this journey sometimes you can feel very ALONE in your world - I know I have, because so many who haven't had WLS don't understand, don't want to understand, or just don't get it even if they try, so you end up feeling very alone at times.

But this board is ALWAYS here so if I am feeling ALONE I know I can come here and post just about anything I want - even if it's not WLS related - because the support out here is not limited to weight loss - this group will support you through thick and thin, good times and bad. When I was going thru so much with my mom last year and earlier this year there were a lot of times I felt truly alone because my siblings all live away and they didn't want ot hear me b*tch or complain about our mom - but dealing with her illness and problems was a heavy burden to bear - thank god I have these wonderful people out here who would let me whine, cry, b*tch, moan and ramble on - and always offer words of encouragement to me to get me thru.

So remember Swede - on your journey, you may feel ALONE at times, but trust me, you are never going to be alone as long as we're all out here.

Hello, 4+ years out, I come her to remind myself of where I want to be and stay focused on the target.  I also come to see if anyone has the same issues as me.

Some days your the dog and some days your the hydrant.

You are quite welcome.  I may not post as much as I did during the first year or so, but I am on here regularly to give and get support.  I know that to make this a rest of my life commitment I must stay connected to those *****ally understand all the ups and down.  Attending meetings regularly, being a group leader and visiting this sight has given me the best "family" a person could ask for.

Good luck to you as you embark on this journey.
