** MARVELOUS MONDAY ROLL CALL **
Good morning all - never got a chance to get on the boards this weekend - man you miss a lot when you're away!!
We had a great weekend at the beach with our friends - the triathalon was amazing - I've never been to anything like that - my bff did great - she finished and not last! Not bad for a 53 year old who has never done anything like that. So a bunch of us were there to cheer her on (at 0 DARK THIRTY thank you very much - ugh) but we had champagne and some little gifts waiting for her back at the house.
Had good travels down and back to the beach this weekend - was hot and tired when we got home last night - threw some laundry in, watered my poor thirsty plants then sent DH to Outback to pick up dinner - no way I was cooking last night.
So today finds me back at work - running to Walmart at lunch for some good stuff to each and a few things I need - tonight I get dinner prepped and in the oven then ON MY RECUMBANT BIKE - I have got to get back into an exercise routine, so my MP3 is charging as we speak and I will be pedaling and listening to tunes for at least a 1/2 hour tonight, then working my way back to the hour and 15 miles that I had been doing pre-Christmas, 2009...yes, folks, sadly it has been THAT long but I'm determined to get back there.
My BFF has challenged me to a 20 mile bike-a-thon next spring - I think I can...I think I can...so I'm going to get into training mode now and see how I do...I must be nucking futs.

Morning, Friends!
It was a great weekend, but oh so exhausting! Becky graduated high school on Friday - at 2:15 in the afternoon, sitting on the field by the school (no shade, no breeze, no umbrellas allowed) in 90+ heat for 2-1/2 freaking hours. Yikes! I literally could NOT have done it 2 years ago - i would have passed out. As it was, my feet swelled like crazy and I was wearing cute strappy heels - couldn't take them off because I would never have made it back across the blacktop to the car barefoot and i knew i wouldn't get them back on - EXCRUCIATING pain from my little toes! Wore flip-flops or my gladiators the rest of the weekend. Yowza.
We had her grad part on Saturday - backyard BBQ - lots of fun and relaxation (well, for the attendees, i was running around prepping food, cleaning up, making sure things were going smoothly...), we had gotten a box of fireworks for that night (great, except for the mosquitoes!)...
And, of course, that's when the garage fridge decided to really start its downward spiral - it had been behaving for a couple of weeks, so I figured I'd take a gamble on getting through the party with it as a secondary fridge. Ended up going out and getting dry ice to pack in it - I think tonight we'll end up with most of the food eaten and/or moved into the kitchen fridge (hopefully) so we may be ok. At that point, it's going OUT. No more of this!
Today's a normal day at work - this whole week will hopefully be "bearable" at work. Some of my jewelry friends and I are doing the big Manayunk show this weekend, so I need to be getting stuff prepped for that as well in the evenings. I'm tired and my heart's just not in it right now. But that's no excuse - gotta get it done!
I hope you all have a wonderful day! Stay hydrated!!!

Good Morning All!
We had a super busy weekend. Grad party on saturday and I made dinner for my parents yesterday for Father's Day. I also got a ton of cleaning and laundry done. Today I need to finish the cleaning and the laundry and start gathering things for vacation. We leave on saturday for a week down the shore with my Mom's family. I can't wait!! Packing for vacation with a baby just takes a lot more planning then when it is just me or even me and Chris.

Hi Steffi, Everyone!
I think this time of year is busier than any other time, which is probably why, once the calendar reads April 1, the rest of the year sort of flies by. . .
Had a delightfully busy weekend full of socializing, but first it was about cleaning, mowing the yard, poop patrol and setting up for the bbq I hosted for some of my old co-workers, they came and we had an awesome time, they left and I went to an AA meeting with my two Dianes (my roomie and another great friend of ours), then home where I collapsed and slept like a baby until 5 when the old plumbing system needed to be drained and then I crawled back into bed, Roxie in tow and we snuggled and slept until almost 7, when I got up, put on a pot of coffee, decided to make the early morning (7:30) AA meeting I like to attend on Sunday's, came home, packed up all the leftovers from my party to give to my friend Diane for a party she was hosting for my roomie, Diane's, AA anniversary, and then changed into my bathing suit, waited on Diane to get ready, drove over to Diane's house and cooled off in her nice pool, until our friends started arriving, we had a nice bbq and social until 6, then left there went home and we moved the fencing that was surrounding our vegetable garden, as the zucchini and cucumber plants needed more space, while doing that we found our first tomatoes, a zucchini and banana pepper had grown, very exciting, then watered the other plants in my yard, as well as Miss Roxie, who loves to play in the garden hose, by the end of all that it was 8:30 and we sat on the back porch for half and hour watching the lightening bugs and just feeling grateful for our lives, it was bedtime by 10 and here I am at work, stealing time to let you all know what I've been doing. . .
Hope everyone is doing well, sounds like we all are busy with various things, as I said earlier, this time of year is full of activities and I LOVE IT!!!
Have a great day!
