Two much needed wows!
As you other "old" folks out there know, the farther out you get, the less wows there are. I have been stalled since about 18 months out and I will be 4 years out in September. I have been doing karate for almost two years...big wow in itself. 3 months ago I started working out with a trainer and it has been going well....he has been working me out hard and I am always wanting him to push me harder. I started with a new trainer about 2 1/2 weeks ago. He took my body fat % then and again today....it is down 6% :) I REALLY needed to see that since the scale STILL is not moving downwards. Yesterday I wore a skirt taht I havent worn since last summer...it was snug around the hips and tummy last ear, but yesterday it was so much looser. I really needed both of those wows as I have been feeling very discouraged lately. It's amazing what a wow moment will do for your motivation.
That is FABULOUS! Both the body fat decrease and the skirt are huge WOWS. Enjoy them! I started tracking my body fat percentage a few months ago and it made me wish I had done so from the start -- although if I had seen my number at the beginning it would have bummed me out too much! Oh well.
So happy for you, HG!

Fantastic heather!! I've been thinking about a personal trainer. My weight has been stalled forever (thankfully not going up) but I would still like to lose some more and I can tell I've lost muscle tone since I haven't been working out. But I am so happy for you and glad you're still doing the karate! That's great!!
Way to go Heather! These are awesome wows that prove it's not all about the pounds lost.
The new surgeon emphasized to me how important it was for me to consider muscle weight and fit of clothing and NOT just the scale.
You are so much healthier than you ever were. Congrats on your continued successing!
