***Spectacular Saturday Roll Call****

Good Morning all!  It's officially 11 minutes into Saturday so I guess roll call is allowed?!

I currently have 3 patients in a section that was supposed to be closed down by 11pm.  So you know how "lovely" it is here.  Although, I honestly can't complain.  It's been nice and steady with the exception of coming in and finding out the nurse before me basically did jack $hi% and I had to run around playing catch up and appeasing angry (rightfully so angry I might add) patients.  And then I "emptied" my section and got three new patients within 25 mins of each other - not an easy thing to do.  But since that time...it's been steady enough to keep the clock moving, not so much that you want to pull your hair out.

I went to Wegmans yesterday - did I remember everything I needed (no list this time)  Noooooo of course I freaking didn't!!  So I'll be stopping at Giant most likely this am.

Home to chill for a bit, pack up food, etc etc and then lay down.  I didn't get a nap in on Friday like I had planned - so I've been up since 0430 on Friday morning...something is telling me I'll be able to fall asleep pretty easily once I get home and lay down :)

The humidity is supposed to be getting worse and so is the heat - so make sure you stay cool and hydrated, remember to do the same for your furry friends, and please please check on elderly neighbors....

Morning Pammie.. yes I am still up.  We just got in from the drive in about 30 minutes ago.  We saw the new Karate Kid movie with Jaden Smith and Jackie Chan.. excellent remake of the original.  There were enough differences to keep it interesting and enough similarities to make it awesome!  The second movie was Shrek Forever After.  Why they would show that movie starting after 11 pm is beyond me. 

Siehara got in the car because it was cold.. really cold outside and ended up climbing in the back seat and falling asleep.  She had seen it a few weeks ago when she ended up on my date night anyway, so no biggie.  Her 21 year old 1/2 sister and I sat outside in the cold watching the movie for awhile.  Then, she decided to get in the car because she was freezing, so what's a girl to do? Join them in the car.. the only problem was the front window kept fogging up because we were warm and breathing and it was so cold outside.  Oh well, it was a nice night anyway.  

I wrote up my little DITTY (Pam.. lol) earlier and just typed it up, now.  So, I am off to bed so I can get up around 8 to get ready for services.  After services, I HAVE to get my nails done.  They are a wreck.  I may splurge and get a pedi, too, but I'm not sure yet.

Then, there will definitely be a nap in order.  Now, whether the nap takes place in my bed or by the pool will depend on my mood and the weather.   Tomorrow night is my date with Mr. Pottsville for karaoke.  Sunday I'm hoping to just relax and do nothing.

Lisa - Glad you all enjoyed the movies.  Hope Siehara enjoyed her first drive-in experience!

It's been a "fun" night here in Allentown.  Not too busy, but steady.  Found some work for my other co-workers along the way and only brought Pam one patient so far.  Getting pretty tired here and praying for 6am to get here soon.  Once I leave here I am going straight home and going to bed for a long, peaceful slumber.  After those 3 and a half hours are up, I'm getting up, directly infusing some caffeine and heading into work at 11am for 12 hours of paramedical fun!

I'm surprised you noticed it was me as I went flying by muttering four letter explitives under my breath thanks to needing to clean up another mess that I happened to walk into blindly...not even my patient....but now my problem.  Ugh.  Oh well.  Thanks for not bringing me specifically the patient...I wouldn't have been nice :)

Siehara did enjoy her first drive in and how about seeing that poster for Minnich's Drive In.. definitely worth investigating.

I think nurses are special people.  My sister was one and quite a few of my relatives.  I missed my calling on that one lol.

Today is rush rush as usual.  No AC in this house so it will be a slow rush.  Hmmm, is that possible lol.

Love those nurses - especially the ones at Barix, lol. My daughter is a nurse in the army and when I hear about some of her days I just can't believe how you nurses keep the schedules you do, stay on your feet all day, keep your patience with cranky ungrateful patients....my hat is off to you all!

"stay on your feet all day" is only thanks to Barix!  "Keep your patience with cranky ungrateful patients" - well I for one don't always do that well.  And there's a lot of complaining to each other in the break room :)
