***Freaking Friday Roll Call***
Morning!
Trish - sorry to hear about the issues with mom. Family drama is never fun. The tele monitor, by the way, is pretty standard after surgeries of most. Barix even had me on a tele monitor for the first 24 hours or so, more so when I was in bed, but it was there. There can be effects of anesthesia that they watch for. And especially with your family's history of blood clots, perhaps they want to watch her for "early" signs like increased heart rate, decreased oxygenation or whatever...those are all just guesses.
Anyway - had a FABULOUS day down the shore yesterday. The weather was gorgeous...I found some AWESOME home made sf fudge, and bought a hot little shirt that I'm in love with. It's definately revealing, not something I could wear to mom's house, lol....but hubby likes it ;)
For some unknown reason I was up by 4:30 today, which is just as good as it'll give me a damn good excuse to take a nice long nap before work tonight. In the meantime I've spent the quiet early morning hours paying bills online, going through email, etc. Will probably run to the store for some blueberries...I've had a recent "love affair" with blueberries. I've been putting them on anything and everything...and am out of them so I must go get more. Also apparantly have to run to Sacred Heart as my direct deposit has not hit yet and I'm not quite sure why....but regardless I need to pick up my check and deposit it in the bank...so it can promptly be spent on bills etc lol
Back to work tonight...7p-7a as normal at Cedar Crest. I bought new uniform pants the other day, and as silly as this sounds, I actually can't wait to wear them, so I'm fairly excited to go to work. It's also been awhile since I've worked with some people who are on for at least part of the night, so hopefully I'll get to catch up with them as well.
It's supposed to be a hot sticky weekend, so enjoy, stay cool, stay hydrated, and get some vitamin D au natural!

I am glad it is Friday and will have a chance to rest and recover over the weekend. I am in a funk this morning. Took a pain killer last night and still in a fog. Dr. gave me BUTAL for the headache which I took this morning and it says it can cause drowsiness. i sure hope the day goes fast today. Just want to come home and get in bed.
I went to the monthly support group last night and people were amazed at how skinny I am. It was nice to hear. Didn't tell them I am thinking about losing another 4 lbs. I know they would start yelling at me.....lol
Booked a hotel in NYC for July 4th. My best friends b'day is July 2nd and I wanted to help celebrate.

Trish so glad to hear that your sister is doing well! Sorry about the blow up with Mom though.
It was COLD out last night! I know, I was up lots lol. Today had us up at 5 but I did get to sleep 2 more hours while Amelia did, so up at 7 for the day. She is fed and playing in her playpen - finding her voice. It's funny because she is loud and startles herself. I am getting ready to make some breakfast and get myself together. We are headed out around 11 to start our day of adventures. It's my first day out alone with her so should be interesting!! WE are going to my Mom's work to visit, then stopping at Walmart, going to my Grandmother's to help set up for the graduation party tomorrow, stopping at my Aunt's to get the snail for the top of my car (a baby needs LOTS of stuff for vacation!), then I think that we get to come home.
It's supposed to be hot and humid the next few days - stay cool and HYDRATED! We don't want anyone having to go visit Pam. Have a great weekend!

Glad to hear your sister is doing well, she is lucky to have you as a supporter and I'm sure she will appreciate your bringing her soup and jello, as for your Mom, chalk it up to "old" age and the fact that some people just become more cantankerous with the aging process. . . hugs coming at you Trish. . .
Today is a perfect weather day, not too hot and low humidity, however, that is going to change over the next 24 hours, so I will enjoy it as I can. . .
I am at work and have lots to do, but wanted to say a quick hello, as the day probably won't allow much more time here, since I have summer hours (8 to 3:30), after work it will be shopping for a bbq I am hosting tomorrow for a couple of old co-workers and their significant others, so it will be shopping getting the yard ready, prepping food and then will just have to see if I have energy left for anything else. . . I must admit that I'm kind of tired the last couple of days and my joints ache, not a familiar feeling, oh well, I'll just push past it and do what needs doing. . .

Good Morning All,
Friday is finally here the weekend is in the air. Still have a slight headache that I got yesterday afternoon so I ended up staying home last night. I ended up finally folding the laundry I had sitting there all week then was in bed asleep by 9:30.
Today after work I will go home for about an hour then I have to DJ tonight till 11:30 it is a graduation party then home to bed. Saturday we have an all day concert we are going to see Darius Rucker and Brad Paisley. Then Sunday I have to DJ again another graduation party. Which makes for a busy weekend but the money will go towards vacation spending money.

Well I'm up much earlier than I anticipated and nothing good will come from that. I'm trying to get back to sleep and here I am.
I work at 2pm but am leaving to go to the girls' school for a Father's Day party. Really looking forward to that. That is at 3:30 for about half an hour. Then back to work till midnight. As soon as I'm done, I'm going into my medic job till 6am. They were desperately looking for someone to cover and I decided to help out. After I'm off at 6am, it's straight home to bed because I work again at 11am. It's going to be a fun weekend!

From 1900-0000 I will keep all of my patients alive and not make you work, for as long as from 0000-0600 you keep YOUR patients from coming to my ER. There's plenty of other ER's...Sacred Heart, Lukes, 17th and chew, Muhlenburgh to name a few, just sayin'
We'll both give each other a break from working, capice?

I'm queasy in my tummy since my husband didn't find out yesterday if he's employed or not. The stress is getting to me. He's a wreck on the inside, but, he's got a strength I've never seen before. He tries to act like he's just off on a regular vacation day. He's possibly going to find out today if he gets to keep his job.
I don't remember a time I've ever been so nervous. The worst part of it all is that my mom works for the same company and is in the human resources dept. She isn't allowed to be involved in the goings on, but knows enough to keep her in the loop.

Trish - keep positive for your sister, sounds like your mom's a doozy to deal with! Surely you are a great help to your sister. My putz brother stopped talking to me on mothers day because I was late to mothers day brunch a year ago...family drama for everyone!
as for the rest of my day...I'm going to sit in the sun and try to get these pale white legs a shade darker than paper. That's my goal. It's bigger than most I have in a day.
