Big Drum Roll Coming Soon
I hope you understand what I mean when I say I contemplated revision surgery oodles upon oodles of times. The problem with revision surgery is that although you will continue to lose weight it will be at a slower than snails pace. I figured that if its gonna be that slow, I've already figured out how to do it that way. So hang tight and never lose sight of what you want to accomplish.
BTW, its gonna be one hell of a milestone bash.
I really appreciate hearing that! A few months ago I was convinced that revision to a DS was the only way I could lose more weight, but then in April my endocrinologist convinced me that I had done well so far and continue on. Now that I'm approaching my two-year, the thought of revision has been popping into my head now and then, just because this is the point when insurance would approve it. I have heard so many horror stories about RNY -> DS revision, though, and that scares me off. And honestly, if I didn't know someone like you who was persisting and still losing with the RNY, I would be tempted to throw in the towel and sign on for revision. You're right, if it's gonna be slow, I might as well stick with what I know. Plus, I would not want to get cut again and go through another recovery.
