Good morning one and all....can't believe it is 6:20 and no one has started Roll Call yet - seems that Pam must not have been working last night and Trish must have ACTUALLY been able to sleep!  Both good things! :)

Looking forward to my day today - Graduation this morning for my 8th graders - still deciding what to wear, then home for a bit, off to the ENT for a check-up where he will yell at me for NOT having had my sleep study yet - he will be right - then home to actually pack.  Can't believe I will be in camp tomorrow!!!!!  SOOOOOO very excited!

What are you all up today?  Hope it is a GREAT Thursday!

 Good morning Steffi/PA

Steffi, congrats on the graduations, i hope you have a great time.

I am glad this week is almost over.  Still have this blasted headache from car accident last week.  Going to the doctors later this afternoon for a follow-up visit and then have one of my monthly support groups tonight, and then going to the diner for dinner with a bunch of friends.

Should be fun.

I hope everyone has a great day.

Geoff

Good Morning Steffi, PA!

Happy Thursday one and all. . .thanks to the Roxie girl, I am here early this morning, she seems to think Momma needs to make up for not coming home right after work and taking her for her walk, so she decided to be my alarm clock at 5:20 this morning.  . .

It was wonderful seeing everyone last night at the Barix support group meeting, some of those there I had not seen in ages and it was great to see little Mason and his Mom there too!  You people rock and this journey never ceases to amaze me with all the wonderful people I've met.  The meeting last night was very touching with Beth, Donna, Julia and Sue celebrating their surgiversaries!  Also, Beth's friend, who at 6 months has lost a person already, then, of course, there is our Nan, who continues to show how by adhering to the lifestyle change, you can continue to lose weight long past the "window" of opportunity that most of us have come to think of as 18 months.  You all inspire me and make me know that I can and will get wherever I want to go!

Anyway, my day today is simple and involves work and my AA homegroup meeting, not too exciting huh?

Well I wish you all a great day doing whatever it is you will be doing and what we've got here on this board is a great group of people who are all on the path of "Successing"!

Hugs, Laureen

Laureen,

It was nice to see you and everyone else!! My friend Cindy is doing so well with her weight loss. I am so proud of her! I forgot to mention last night that I have lost 130lbs since surgery. The proof is in the pictures. I cannot believe how quickly time has gone! It is amazing how great everyone looks. Nan is a real inspiration!

Today I got stuck in a MAJOR traffic jam. There was a water main break and detours. Needless to say I was late to work. Oh well, nothing I could do about it. Although I was thinking as I was getting dressed this morning that I would take a day off. Maybe I should have....

This afternoon I have a GYN appt. Dee has a half day at school today and tomorrow, so I had to rearrange schedules and ask "Aunt Cindy" to pick up Dee from the bus....

Tomorrow is my last IV iron appt for hopefully awhile!!!
Have a great Thursday!!!!
Beth

Laureen,

It was great to see you last night!!  As promised, here's the info on the cushion I use:

http://www.dreamproductscatalog.com/details.cfm?item=11710

It doesn't solve the problem completely, but it does help.  The cushion is a little chintzy, but it works for me so I don't care.  I keep mine in the car, and I'm usually able to ride for longer periods.  I had tried using one of those blowup donuts, but found it awkward to sit on.

Hope this helps!!!

Thanks!  Some days are worse then others, but the chairs at Barix I think are made for what was once our very cushiony behinds. . .lol

morning Steffi.. I've been up since 4:45, but decided I should actually get work done this morning before I got on here.  The HORROR! I know..

I have an appointment with the new surgeon today.  I am going to talk to him about the problems I am having with being able to eat more than I think I should be able to and see if I can get both an endoscopy and an appointment with the nutritionist they have on staff.    I need to get my head on straight and I think by just getting the endoscopy done, at least I'll know that it is in my head and not the pouch... I will always have the doubt until I get it checked..

I'm working around the appointment and Siehara is home since school was over yesterday.  Fun times!

Tonight I am going to try zumba again and stay after for Pilates.

That is all.  This week seems to actually be going pretty quickly!

Well hello Steffi and PA!

Im just chillin at work trying to not do any work...shouldn't be a problem! I had my cardio appointment with the Dr. yesterday. My EKG was still "abnormal" but he said it was fine and he isnt worried about it. He did order a 48 hour halter monitor and a stress test just to be safe and to clear me for my surgery. Im not worried about it, im just trying to jump through all the hoops! The stress test is next thursday and friday, my psych and nutrition consult is also next thursday and my last weigh in with my pcp is on the following monday 6-28. After all of that I should be done and my surgeon will be able to send in the referral to the ins. company. Whew! Surgery is still scheduled for July 29...exactely 6 weeks from today!!!!! Holy cow! Hopefully there wont be any more speed bumps cause I dont feel like slowing down!

Swede

PS. I hope you're appointment goes well today Lisa; congrats Steffi and have a wonderful day with your students; I hope your headache goes away Geoff! Hang in there everybody!
