** Thursday Roll Call **

Fun - at camp? I know lots of people enjoy camp, but, I don't see how it's possible.

I've been mia for a while. Just getting thru the end of year events. Turns out "the teacher" that hijacked Alexis' money is being looked at for other events throughout the year. On the last day of school, the principal called Alexis into her office to have her explain "this thing with the money". When she finished explaining, the principal handed her an envelope with $40 in it and told her she should get it back. (especially since I found the cancelled check showing I had paid in full BEFORE Alexis took in the money and they stated they had NO record of me paying.) I'd bet it was out of her own pocket. Everything worked out for Alexis, but, now I feel guilty about the principal's money.

Anyway, still need to send the principal a thank you.

My weight has been stalled. I seem to lose for 2 weeks, stall for 2 weeks. I hope this 2 weeks is up soon.

Went shopping with my bff (if I'm not too old to have one of those). Hit lots of sales and picked up some size 10's in anticipation of being that size soon.

Had my 6 month check up with my surgeons office. (can't remember if I've posted since then.) I'm off more meds they put me on and my labs were all excellent except my good cholesterol. Now I only take medicines once a day plus my vitamins throughout the day. I'm almost a normal person now.

As for today...well, my husband drives a fork lift at work and unfortunately "bumped" into a gold digger on Monday. He's been off work without pay since then and goes in today to find out if he's going to keep his job. He's worked there 24 years and the guy he bumped into was a truck driver that threatened to sue the company because this crazy fork lift driver "tried to kill me intentionally"! The guy never fell down, never did more than "sway" and because he couldn't get a copy of some paperwork, decided his pain was bad enough to immediately need an ambulance. Then he got up and moved his semi and came back in to wait for the ambulance. I mean...seriously?!?! So, anyway, he finds out an 3 today if he's still got a job. I guess this guy could sue us too...I don't know what he can get out of us. It's all too nerve wracking for this stress eater. The protein cheerios I bought have been my go to stress food. I'm sure the carbs aren't helping me at this point.

Ooooh, I felt like Steffi there for a moment. It all comes back to me.

Everyone cross your fingers for us and send us good juju. We may need it.

Good luck to your hubby today!!!  I hope everything goes well and he keeps his job!!!

So glad that this teacher is being called on her stupidity!  they make the rest of us look bad!  I hate dealing with money.  Just let me teach.....UGH!

And yes - soooooo much fun at camp.  I don't have to cook for anyone, clean for anyone....oh wait.... I don't do that anyway - oh well - I ALSO don't have to schlepp anyone anywhere and there are NO CHILDREN who need me to care for them when I am on the computer! :)  So yes - it will be a TON of fun!  And - if I can go to camp - then you can have a BFF!  Just sayin!

Do you like how I turned this around to me!  I know....I know....it's a gift! :)

Good Morning Steffi,
I was pretty much comatose by midnight last night, and slept late today.  Mom and I were at Jeanes Hospital till 8:30 last night.  Sister's surgery went well, just took longer than expected.  Then her time in recovery took longer too.  They are keeping her till tomorrow, to monitor her Coumadin levels.

I have had a sinus headache since Tuesday, so I called the doctor to see if I can get a Medrol dose pack, as I am on a ton of allergy meds already, and the sinuses won't drain.

Today has me getting another iron IV infusion, then taking Mom to Jeanes to see Sissy.

Thanks for the prayers everyone.  Oh, and I did not kill Mom yesterday, though there was a thought after being yelled at.

Hugs,
Trish

Good morning everyone.  I realy enjoyed the meeting last night.  So inspirational with the surgiversaries.  Really makes me believe I will do this (and with all your support, do it correctly).

I liked the new format, although I sort of monopolized the small group talks.  It was really great to learn about "The Foamies".  Now I can at least I have a name for it.  LOL

Gonna be busy tonight trying to get ready for mom's party this weekend.  It's in Gettysburg and I'm leaving right after work tomorrow so I've got a list of things that needs to get done tonight.

I hope everyone has a great day!

You can totally do this and it was great seeing you last night! :)  And although I wasn't in your group - I am sure you didn't MONOPOLIZE the conversation.  remember - the only dumb question is the one that is not asked!

Hey all!!!

I slept later than usual this morning, but I had stayed up late too.  I wanted to get Paul out for a walk, but he had a headache, so I got him settled with meds and ice packs, then got on the treadmill.  I may go to a friend's house to craft for a while later, but otherwise have nothing planned for today.

I told my mom that my surgery is scheduled for July 29.  She's insisting on being here to "take care of" me.  Mom is a nurse (retired now) and would take great care of me, but the thought of her being here is now causing me a lot of stress.  I'm sure those of you with mother issues understand!!    My house is small, and Paul and Anson will already be here.  Mom actually told me she's more important than Anson and that he'll just have to adapt.  She has COPD, and I have 2 cats, so I'll be worried about her breathing while she's here.  My stomach is in knots just thinking about this.  I think her comments really made me angry because just a few minutes before, she was telling me that I need to "fix up"---wear different jewelry every day was today's "advice."  My brother told me he's coming to take care of me after surgery too.  He's never been to my house in the 10 years I've lived here.  He would be sooo much easier to have around than Mom, but truthfully, I'd rather just have Paul and Anson here.

Ok, thanks for letting me vent!!!

Have a great day, all!!!

Julia,
I normally don't post on roll call but I wanted to send some Cyber hugs your way and also missed congratulating your last night at the Barix Post-Op meeting. Happy one year surgiversary and I totally get mom issues. Hang in there and vent away. {{{{HUGS}}}

People comment on my over 100 pound weight loss and attribute it to my WILLpower, but it is my WANTpower: I WANT to be thin and healthy more than anything else!

Afternoon Steffi and the rest of PA...

Working middle shift again today till 1am.  Got to sleep a little later this morning, which was quite nice since I didn't get out of work till almost 2am last night.  Had a busy morning, but had time to run and pick up new pants for my Paramedic job, since the ones I got in December are now much too big.

Not much else going on here, just easing into my day at work and making some phone calls for other appointments my surgeon wanted me to look into before he did my hernia surgery.  Hope everyone is enjoying the beautiful weather.
