Celebrating Success

We all have our own ways to celebrate our success.  It used to be with food...but now we have to celebrate differently.  Small goals are celebrated by my family going to a movie, or bowling, or on a great trailride (Thanks Nicole!)
As many of you know I went from 15+ Rx meds and 3 shots a day....to nothing but vitamins & calcium.  I have lost more weight than the Drs expected me to keep off.  My diabetes is diet controlled and my kidneys are functioning normally now.  ALL huge WOWs for me.
To celebrate I have been looking for a motorcycle...the search is over.  I am the proud owner of a beautiful Honda Shadow VLX600 Deluxe.  Everytime I ride I am reminded of all I have accomplished and all the hard work still ahead.  It was extravagent and selfish...but I love it.  I have never done anything just for me befroe, and it feels good.
We are all sucesses...let's celebrate!

Congratulations, Sara!

It was not "selfish" in a negative sense - you are rewarding yourself in a very positive way and in a way that will reinforce your good decision-making every time you see it and ride it.  What better way to keep the spirity of "successing" in front of you daily.  You deserve it.

Enjoy it and savor it!

Sara! Not selfish at all! If you see my online name it is "HopefulRider" - well the "ride" is my horse, and I wanted to lose enough weight that I wouldn't feel guilty about him carrying me! At Christmas I went and bought myself the cadillac of saddles! So - you go girl!  Don't think about how you're rewarding yourself now, think about all the times you DIDn't reward yourself and it will make it that much sweeter!

What a great celebration! And you will celebrate over and over every time you hop on.

Extravagant? Well maybe, but you worked for every bit of it. Selfish? Not one scrap of selfish.

WOW, Sara - congratulations to you!  My gosh, you have lost the weight - but -- the most important thing is being OFF all your MEDS!  Isn't it a miracle????  I couldn't be more pleased at the outcome of good health, and it sounds like you're experiencing the same thing!  YOU GO!!!!!  CONGRATULATIONS!
