What's the deal with SF coolwhip?

I've noticed before on the boards that people say to stay away from the sugar free coolwhip - I'm just wondering what that is about?  Why can we have the light and not the SF?

Thanks!

I buy the cool whip sugar free or light - I've never had a problem with it. Why are they telling you to stay away from it? Too many sugar alcohols?

cool whip in any form is a petrolum derived product. Do you really want to put this non food in your body?

Chris, off the topic of cool whip...haven't seen you around these parts in a while. How are you doing? Still have your boxer baby?

I haven't been told that by anyone....It is terribly fake...and I personally prefer the "real" stuff (ie real whipped cream) for most things...except some desserts which are made with cool whip....

I use either one...the sugar free or the "totally free" I think it's called...

Instead of complaining that the rosebush has thorns, be happy that the thorn bush has roses.

Reddi-whip fat free is MUCH better than cool whip (IMO). I'm with Pam - I only use cool whip if a dessert recipe calls for it.
